I'm clinging onto City's lack of European prestige as optimism. I know a City fan and he used to tell me that Europe is something that they are not too bothered about, their fans don't get that excited about it (mostly because UEFA hit them with sanctions).

Hopefully we are well prepared and our new home will boost us.
Nah they still reached CL semis a few years ago, furthest we've got in Europe in recent memory is a quarter final in the CL and same round in the Europa league. Its a massive ask, toughest draw possible imo - you never know but im not confident.

I cant wait in all honesty - gonna be awesome. If we can get a three or four goal lead - will be awesome going there

So Owen say us fans are beaten before a ball is kicked isn't true then, and that we don't believe in ourselves isn't true then

People are saying it’s a bad draw. That is an allowed opinion. Doesn’t mean the fans won’t be up for the tie at the time or not want us to win. Since when has being balanced and realistic in conversation and not obsessional and delusional been a negative?

This knighting of Michael Owen’s opinions by some on here is borderline obsession now

The toughest possible draw for us and away in both 2nd legs!!!

To win it we'll need to beat City, Juve, Barca

The only chink of light I can see v City is that it will be our 2nd game at home, under the lights and at Anfield in the CL last season with an incredible atmosphere City fell apart.

The NWHL can almost replicate Anfield, especially as we'll be euphoric after just moving home (and not having to endure wembley anymore) so it gives us a chance. Gutted we're not home 2nd leg though!

if we played away the 1st leg and lost 4-0, do you really think the atmosphere on the return would be electric? loads wouldn't even go and we would be full of tourist

correct it's a shit draw, totally agree. there was only 2 most wanted so they are disappointed. read back though and see how many have all ready cried "Defeat".

if they went to the game, then you could have a big section not getting fully behind us. we need every man and his dog to come out voiceless. Owens comments came over that us fans expect us to lose, so how is he wrong?

SC always find a way to be fucking negative...

Some real fucking melts on this site...

We are going to play a CL 1/4 final in our wanking great stadium in a few weeks..FUCK city, fuck who they are..

At this stage i don't give a toss who we play, i thought we were out at the group stages, and tbh, we should have been.

FUCK OFF with your constant negativity ....COYFS.

looks like we need to finish 3rd to avoid chelsea taking our place if we finish 4th again. they have an easy path to the europa final.

or win the cl...

Yeah I’m imaging this scenario too and it would be really sad if the fixtures were reversed and we got thumped in the first leg. First champions league game at NWHL a dead rubber. Ugh. I think we’ve been done a favor here.
