Just had a thought. Because it's an all-English tie is there a chance we might have to play at home on a Tuesday? Because if so I can't even make it... :(

Yes it will be on the Tuesday as we play Huddersfield on the Saturday before and then the early kick off against Man City the following Saturday.

The only positive I can take from that draw is absolutely everyone is already writing us off, including our own fans, so hopefully our players and manager are extra fucking motivated to pull off something incredible...

Love a good cup draw to bring out the conspiracy theorists.

If you honestly believe that the draws are pure chance and not rigged then please explain this too me because the chances of these match ups coming out as they have in UEFA's favor are so slim. Not trying to argue, I'm genuinely trying to see things from your perspective.

Just to put this out there, I couldn't give a fuck about our match up I believe we can beat anyone on our day. My grievance is with the draw in general.

Going on about our luck? How about when we drew Monaco, Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow in the Group Stage? Or that same season a Europa League path that would have seen us only have to beat Gent, Genk, Celta Vigo, LVG's Man United and Ajax to win the whole damn thing? Or this year, when having got a perfectly decent draw against Dortmund given we were unseeded, they lost their form and confidence with perfect timing? It's a random draw, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. It's about taking advantage of the occasions when you are lucky, and taking the others as an oppourtunity to prove why we belong at this level.

Agree. Still a shit draw though.

Strikes me as worst possible draw. Relatively little glamour and we’re odds on to lose

That said, nice semi if we can get up for it :ROFLMAO:

That’s the main thing for me. City are a little club that have been bank rolled by a brutal regime. They are everything that’s wrong with football. Didn’t want to play any of the English clubs, mainly because I want us to be playing European clubs in Europe, but least of all them.

If we’d been playing Barca or Juve (two games I still think we’d lose) I could still look forward to the event itself something, playing city isn’t something to look forward to, it’s a chore.

As has been mentioned, at least we're at home first. Treat the home game as a one-off must win and then worry about the away game when we get there.

Yeah I forgot where we were first actually. I agree that's definitely a good thing. Hopefully attain a draw or a win at least at home and then anything can happen in the second leg.

Nice draw for Utd....OGS on a hiding to nothing to beat them. As long as they don't get hammered a loss will be considered a respectable exit and a win a remarkable achievement

No. It is tues 9th April. Therefore if we are to play Brighton at the new stadium if they are out of the cup. That game will have to be sat 6th. Huddersfield is the following Saturday.
