Who do we want in the last 8 of the Champions League?

I'm actually looking forward to just playing a CL tie at our new ground and I'm not massively concerned about that home leg, what worries me more than anything is the leg at their ground, we could easily get turned over there and as pessimistic as it sounds, concede 3, 4 or 5. That's something you can't afford to do in a 2 leg CL tie.
As has been mentioned, at least we're at home first. Treat the home game as a one-off must win and then worry about the away game when we get there.

Fucking hell. The combination of us drawing City and the scousers drawing Porto is going to ruin my whole fucking weekend.

Going on about our luck? How about when we drew Monaco, Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow in the Group Stage? Or that same season a Europa League path that would have seen us only have to beat Gent, Genk, Celta Vigo, LVG's Man United and Ajax to win the whole damn thing? Or this year, when having got a perfectly decent draw against Dortmund given we were unseeded, they lost their form and confidence with perfect timing? It's a random draw, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. It's about taking advantage of the occasions when you are lucky, and taking the others as an oppourtunity to prove why we belong at this level.

Look, if we can't beat City over two legs we don't deserve to be in the CL SFs. Why is everyone so worked up? They have dodgy games, particularly in Europe. If Liverpool could do it last season we can do it this season (terrible current form notwithstanding).

Home leg first is an advantage.

We now play City 3 times in a short period of time. On the 9th, 16th and 20th of April. The last one is the league match.

Lucck we had that 10 point cushion in the top 4.....oh wait.....

Probably crap. But worth posting. Pretty sure we get one of these every year.

they might of not got 1 of the warm up correct, but the 1st 4 teams came out in the 1st half and the same with the last 4. you would of expected a slight difference. definitely heated balls:whistle: and same old we get drawn against the favourites, which many of us expected, with Liverpool getting the easiest QF, but on paper the hardest S/F

Absolute sickener. I just knew we’d get an all English tie. We never get any luck, always get tough groups and tough knock out draws.

Liverpool yet again get a piss easy draw.

Fucking ****s

It would have been nice for once to get a bit of luck.

Our 5 knock-out stage games in the CL have been against AC Milan (when they were good), Real Madrid, Juventus, Dortmund and now City.

We just don't seem to get a kind draw.

What a miserable few weeks for us spurs fans lol

Bring it on. I feel like if there is any positive to take from this, it’s that the pressure is off.

Unfortunately City are quite capable of absolutely hammering us. It would be so disappointing if we ended up going out of the competition on a 6-0 aggregate or something, and a rotten end to the season. We have to throw everything we’ve got at the first leg.
