I can't see Bale to us happening. More likely Utd will sign him.
Sess is a much more realistic target. He will cost a lot but will carry resale value and doesn't have a long history of injuries. Under Poch he could become top class, not Bale level but still a top player. Plus he wont have massive wages either.

I do think we'll change things if Eriksen leaves. Often times he is pretty much shoehorned into the formation. Either central attacking midfield or in off the left or right to fit others around him. I think we'll add better competition for Winks (which I think Grealish was going to add but to replace Eriksen we need a top player like Isco really) and Dier (maybe Sander Berge or Declan Rice). That should add better ball retention from deeper in midfield and maybe not miss Eriksen as much.

If we signed someone like Sess it would add a 2nd wide attacker in a front 3. I would like to see us play 2 inside wing forwards more next season. When Kane drops off you then have 2 pacey attackers overlap on either wing.
Sess---Kane---Son
Alli

I still think Alli can continue improving and I actually think he's the one with the capability to play some of the final passes that Eriksen does. Play him in the number 10 role, but if we get a second creative central midfielder you can still push them further forward if Alli is out.

Why the fuck is anyone talking like we are going to sign Bale?

just because Bale is on absolutely stupid money with RM, he never left for money. he left to play for the biggest and most successful club in the World, something most kids would dream of other than playing for their favourite team. the talk is that RM want rid, RM want Eriksen and no club in the world other than RM, or PSG would consider paying those kind of wages. yes Man U, Man C, and even Chelsea can offer him so much more than what we can, but if Bale didn't want to play for them and wants to play football, he will go to that club.

Do real want Eriksen anymore, that rumour has gone a bit quiet?

understandably with his recent form.

even if he never went there, no one knows exactly what we have in funds, though I don't think Levy would stretch to the rumoured 63m, or even if Poch would want someone he would be scared of training to hard that might suffer an injury because of it.

I also think that Kane and Dele were both at their best when they played as a partnership a few seasons back.

Even in the first half against Saints they linked up well. Already you could see the different it made having Alli back.

We simply can’t afford his wages, it’s as simple as that. Famously the tightest chairman in the league paying wages to one of the worlds highest paid players? It doesn’t add up.
Plus, I back him for a resurgence under Zidane.

I doubt it will happen but, there was ITK
last summer that wages could be met, he gets image rights etc.
Zidane has gone back because they must be backing his plan of a clearout, Bale out, hazard in would be one move. Where GB can go is another thing.

Balague recently wrote that we were talking about offering them a year loan deal for him, but that Levy’s offer was so utterly derisory in theory that they never even bothered engaging with Madrid formally.

At the moment, I'm unsure if Ryan Sessegnon is good enough for 1st team football at Spurs.

If we bought him, I'd be shocked if we didn't loan him back for at least a season.

Exactly the kind of player we should be trying to avoid signing.

Neither an unearthed gem or the finished article. Just another player that would drain our budget and make no impact.

We need to sign some winners.

IMO we need a LB/LWB and I think Sessegnon is now more of an AM. I don't think he's a good enough defender yet to play there for us and we don't particularly need to be spending a vast amount on a left sided midfielder. Our transfer budget should be focussed elsewhere.

Julian Brandt would be a good signing imho.

If Toby goes then Jonathan tah would be a great replacement or lascelles if we need an English player.

We won’t get de Ligt so no point trying.

Tierney at lb. sell Davies.

Win bissaka at rb. Sell trippier and Aurier.

Bentaleb back in midfield. Counts as home grown. Denis Zakaria as dm/cm powerhouse. Sell wanyama and Sissoko (despite him doing well this year, he’s not good enough and is nearly 30).

If eriksen goes then Brandt in to replace him, appreciate not like for like but he’s only 22 and quality.

Dan James and David Brooks to boost home grown numbers and both are very talented. Sell Lamela and moura.

Sign Giroud on a free. Sell Janssen and Llorente.

This is a big overhaul of 9 players in but would imho set us up for the future really well and bring the average age if the squad down massively which has crept up to about 27 now.

These are all realistic signings for us and can be funded by offloading the 11 players mentioned above.

That doesn't mean anything. It only means we'd have to pay more to get hahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Sorry I can't even fake the logic. Was a nice thought. Good player. We missed the boat.

Yeah, would need close to £70m for Bournemouth to even entertain a conversation.

Seems just like Levy to go in for a player after he multiplies his value times 10.
