I think if we have the desire to make it so it will help us, but if not then it is going to turn the screw.

I'm plumbing for the positive result as this team is capable of great things, and until they truly let me down I can only keep the faith.
I really don't think the desire's in doubt. Desire is there with everyone. Think we're underestimating the impact of injuries across key areas in the squad; CMs and forwards.

Kane's just getting back to form after a long time out; Alli had his first outing after a long lay off, Dier too. We've been lucky that an over-used Winks/Sissoko CM line up, and Son hitting incredible striking form saw us through our most vulnerable patch of games with squad availability.

We should have put that game away first half today. We'll hopefully have a fit Kane/Alli/Son/Eriksen line up to see us through the rest of the season. If we do, think we'll be ok for top 4. Think Arsenal and Chelsea look more vulnerable defensively than we do. Think Utd will finish strongly.

We definitely have the easiest last 4 games on paper:
Palace/Brighton h
West Ham h
Bournemouth a
Everton h

We just need to stay in touch in the next 4. Hopefully win Brighton and Huddersfield home and nick a point away at the other 2 should keep us in touch. But it’s crazy to completely write off etihad and Anfield considering the pressure they are under. Also don’t forget in last 12 months we’ve gone to Barcelona Madrid juventus Dortmund United chelsea Arsenal and got results. We are more than capable.
Burnley and Soton were easy on paper. The Premier league is like no other, you don't turn up you can lose to anyone

Would they do that if Utd would win the whole thing while in 5th?

That I’m not sure about, all I know is the rules changed a few years back. The top 4 leagues in Europe not only have 4 spots, but all 4 I believe go straight to the groups now

I’m trying to work out if this long wait for the next game is a good or bad thing.

Maybe gives time for the team to reset and get ready for one big push for the run in. Or does it let the players stew and over think the recent run of Premier League results?

As a fan 20 plus days is a long time to wait for a game in a season.
Hard to see how the break could lead to worse results so I'm going to be positive about the break. On the plus side we've got a couple of events to keep us going.

If only we all didn’t care so much. Struggling to see one crumb of positivity from our situation. We’re in serious trouble.
1 point from last 4 games with Liverpool away next so... 1 point from 5 games.
We are in free fall.
It really looked after that Arsenal game with that last minute penalty save that we’d stopped the rot. Followed by a great result in Dortmund. Then yesterdays debacle...?
As I said before that was a season defining defeat.
Pochettino for the first time looks completely lost for words trying to explain what’s going on.
I just cannot see anything other the top four being...
1 Man City
2 Liverpool
3/4 Chelsea or Man Utd
Going to try and forget about football for abit?

Want a draw today between Man U and Arsenal.
Chelsea win games in hand they go above us.
Need both these fkers to drop points and stay outside top 4.
Either win we're out top 4.
Then we have Liverpool.
We reallllyyyy fucked up.
Thats what I cant understand, we NEVER play with any urgency until 5min left.
Like we play with an arrogance of 'we'll score lets not go too gung ho.'
Fuck fuckety fuck fuck.

The likelihood is that we will be fifth after the Liverpool game.
That means we will need to collect more points than either man Utd or Chelsea in our remaining games. It's out of our hands in this case.
We have Man city away too.
Unless our form massively improves we will be outside the top 4 at the end of the season, and I suspect we won't even be close.

The problem is, that on paper means F all now as 1. The teams at the bottom have as much, if not more motivation to fight, and 2. I've not seen a confident display from us in the league since Cardiff

But none of the teams we face are really fighting for their lives. Huddersfield Bournemouth Everton West Ham have nothing to play for. Ok palace and Brighton need a few points but aren’t exactly desperate.

Let it go, we started the rot against Burnley and it's been shit ever since. The players and Poch have screwed it up.

Maybe they'll learn from it, a stint in the Europa League might do some of them good, but I doubt it.

Agree. Said straight after the match yesterday we could get something there and still believe we will.

I think we should now just approach each match game by game and see how our results and the results of the other three clubs pan out after each round. No point guessing what our or their results will be until the end of the season.

Good point why do we attack so slowly in games or wait to go behind before pushing forward. This was an issue last year remember Poch talking about fast starts. Strange

We literally started the 1st half with urgency and played with high tempo, not sure what you're on about??

Roll on the optimistic ratings, but it would be so us to go and win at Anfield.
It won't be easy, but I've got a feeling.... I know, why do I do this to myself?
