Can't blame him to much today. He's young, plays little football, and asked to play in a back 4, with little help in front of him.
Fact is, we don't now have any FB, on either side, good enough to play in a back 4. Defensive suicide.

The screams of 'investment' may have a place and time, but yet again for the the forth league game in a row he made tactical decisions that made no fucking sense.

I was happy to see KWP get a start but why rest Toby? Three weeks (baring the internationals) it's not liked he wouldn't get time to rest up.

Yeah personally I dont see how investment was needed to win that game vs a pretty poor Southampton side, nobody would have mentioned investment after that first half. Poch is going through his most difficult moment.

Yep, this whole run of games has shown how lightweight mentally some of this squad are.

I want this season to end and I want the glaringly obvious elephants in the room to be sorted.

What was the term people kept using in the summer? Shit or get off the pot?

Doesn’t have the physical capabilities to play at this high level

Also takes way to many risks sadly he’s not good enough give him a years loan next year just to make sure.

Calamitous for both goals. Let Armstrong run off his shoulder twice in horribly dangerous positions. He's not good enough now, and I'm starting to wonder if he ever will be honestly.

Pretty much what I would expect from a young player who rarely plays - some good, some not so good. This is what bringing through youth is all about - they make mistakes.

Don’t want to say it, but...
Just an accident waiting to happen. Has only started the odd game here or there and has fucked up in the most of them. The mistakes against Palace and Barca were just simply awful mistakes. Today was just bad defending again. Involved in both Saints goals. Not good enough. Aurier should have started.

There’s a lot to like about his game. But he gets caught napping too often unfortunately he played a big part in both goals.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: He's only started 2 games in the league. In one of those games ( vs Bournemouth) he had 3 assists and then today, his inexperience showed. Unless you said the exact same thing after his performance Vs Bournemouth, don't think you're being very knee jerk with your response?

The "3 assists" mantra again?

ONE was a good pass...fucking one of them.

Been saying since he got absolutely spun by some random West Ham academy player that he was far from good enough. He proves that time and time again with his “performances”.

Far too many people were brainwashed into thinking KWP was any good by Windy on Twitter. He isn’t a youth football expert. He’s a grown man that has a weird obsession with young footballers.

I call it a weird obsession because, despite the many, many hours he spends watching them, he hasn’t got a fucking clue what he’s talking about.

Watching motd he has 5 metres on Armstrong and he ends up 5 metres down over 40 metres. So he’s either pretty slow or Armstrong is lightening quick.

I’m not writing him off after a sporadic handful of appearances, I’m not a moron, but I am concerned by his lack of speed and how often he gets caught in behind

I’d still rather give him a run of games than see meh and meher taking it in turns to grind my gears week in week out, see how he goes and if he shows signs of improvement, and then make a major upgrade in both full back positions in the summer

Don't think its either. He's not slow, armstrong isn't quick. The difference was Armstrong was switched on, aggressive in his running, and KWP was caught on his heels, watching the ball, and, just like the first goal, let Armstrong run off his shoulder.

Physically he’s got a lot of work to do. He’d get knocked flying by one of the mascots if they held his hand with any vim. Proper scrawny and you just can’t be when you have to defend against the fastest and most powerful runners.

I dont like how Poch gives our young defenders starts in games they really shouldn't be starting in.
And games where we are comfortable with a 2 goal cushion theres no fuckin sign of them coming on with 30min to go. Thats when you get them experience, not throw them in the deep end in a CL game or a bloody team battling relegation. Fkin brain dead imo.

Feel for the kid. He might not be up to it but we don’t know as he doesn’t get a consistent run in the team.

Easy to point the finger at him for the equaliser, when the cross went through three other players, including a wonderful dummy by Rose.

Look I don’t want to be harsh on him. But this was just not the game to start him in when Aurier was available. It was an absolutely crucial game in top 4 fight against a team fighting for their lives away from home. Just a completely unnecessary call.
