A few have suggested he shouldn’t have been rushed back but I think he’s looked sharper since returning from this injury than any of his previous.

**** or not he’s probably right. Many people on here do not deserve Harry Kane, he opitimises what it means to us fans to be a professional footballer. ‘Championship player at best, never make it in the premier league, too slow, not good enough for us, 1 season wonder, 2 season wonder, can’t score in August, 3 season wonder, he’s not the same since his injury, he’s not the same since this injury, his ankles are made of glass and now....why upset a winning team? He’s upset the balance, he shouldn’t go straight back in the team’. This man is our one and only world class player, he could play for any team in the world and win everything. Not just our fans but many football fans are the most disgraceful, insulting and ungrateful people there are. He owes us nothing but we owe him everything. Don’t get me wrong no one is devoid of criticism when it’s deserved but this man just keeps on fighting and proving people wrong. How can we ask for loyalty from our players when we treat them the way we do. Worship this guy for as long as we’re lucky enough to have him because people like him don’t come along every day. Rant over.
I see Harry Redknapp read my post....

Thought he was rubbish for the first half hour but he slowly got going tonight and was doing the focal point stuff much better tonight by the end of the game. Clearly still not going at full tilt but that was much more encouraging, and he showed how lethal and class he is when he's get an opportunity in front of goal.

I think that while you’re correct in saying Harry was poor for the initial stages, it needs the context that the gap between him and the rest of the team was huge, and he always had at least two markers.

He wasn't doing enough though, he was slow in his hold up play and not looking to run channels and be an out ball once we got the ball back and looked to transition. As the game went on he started working defenders and dragging them about across the pitch and we all saw the difference.

Main thing is he did step up though, and hopefully took a few steps back towards 100% tonight.

His job is to score goals which he does with ease. Luckily for us he also brings so much more to the team than just his goals.

Needs 1 for 200 career goals. He actually has a real shot at Arthur Rowley English record of 434 career goals.

The Rowley record is career league goals and is unlikely ever to be broken unless the game becomes higher-scoring again - Kane's 199 includes cups and internationals.

Yup Rowley total is 464 is that the highest ? What was greaves ? I know he is 401 with league and international.

Wikipedia suggests 366 for Greaves (including 9 in Serie A for Milan which wouldn't count for an English record I guess?). Kane's on 138.

I’m amazed how many people discount him from being our player of the season. Without him we aren’t in the last 8 of the champions league. He’s scored important goal after important goal and effects more games than any other player.

Sissoko’s transformation has been amazing but there’s only one winner for me.

Yep.

I thought this when people were salivating over Son little while back when he was having a good period.

Kane just gets taken for granted a bit now as expected of him to at least get 20 league goals nowadays as a given.

I've always thought of the club player of the season to be for the less obvious choice. Obviously Kane is our best player, and clearly without him we'd be absolutely screwed. But given he's always in the running for Footballer of the Year, Team of the Season etc, it seems a bit pointless to vote for him.
