Fantastic referee who, despite his stare making it look like he was about to rape & murder you, had the total respect of every player.

Isn't he now the trainer/advisor to FIFA/UEFA refs? Would certainly explain why the standard of refereeing is so much better in there competitions, than in the PL.

Oh don't get me wrong, I've already said how brilliant we defended today, but when you're talking about £100m for a player, you'd expect him to create/score something over the two legs, surely?

A lot of it is media hype which is understandsble, that doesn't make him any less of a player though.
