That joke would work better if Scotland didn’t beat Ireland 2 years ago

They did better than I thought they would tbh. I was distracted by other things for a lot of it, so I may be being unfair, but it didn't seem to e that Scotland were ever in with a shout of upsetting the odds.

Scotland lost that game as opposed to Ireland winning it. If that makes any sense. They gifted Ireland the first try and some.seriously rubbish tackling for another. Scotland had several opportunities to capitalise and made some.car crash decisions. They'll learn from it, but I thought they were in with a shout at half time.

Ireland, whilst a formidable team, look a long way off a world cup winning team at the moment.

The northern hemisphere teams are still at best third favourites for World Cup glory. Turning up when it matters isn’t something you associate with NH teams in the World Cup lately.
France and as far back as 2007, which I guess is recent, England, buck the trend a bit, but France need to revert to being France before they can ever be taken seriously on that stage again.

I’m very confident the final this year will be New Zealand v South Africa.

I'm not so sure it's a clear as that, but I wouldn't be surprised if your prediction happened. I think Ireland can up.their.game, although it seems opposition have sussed their game plan a bit.

England? Bit enigmatic at the moment. Capable of upsetting and beating anyone though, in my opinion. Bias as it is.

My DNA donor dad played for Toulouse many moons ago as flanker. I love French rugby, but as he tells.me, they have a problem with mentality and consistancy. If they learn how.to.use that beast of a pack they could cause a few upsets imo. Not world cup winning material though. For those reasons.

As for Wales? Hard to judge. 2 poor games. Need to.see them play Ireland or England.to get a proper feel for where they are. Top side though.

Well that was a bit shit.
Sure was. Why didn't we go for a scrum in front of the posts on the 4 penalty at 9 nil?
Always thought Biggar makes too many mistakes ?? with his kicking. Anscombe will start against the Sais.

Lots of changes?

A bit but our shambolic lineout can’t be blamed on that.

We’re slow starters but it was always a bit risky making so many changes.

Tom Young was great, though. Felt sorry for him at the end. Thought that pass looked flat on the close up angle. The J Davies TMO was harsh. That went backwards into his knee. Still we didn’t make it easy for ourselves. As Dait says we should’ve gone for the try at 6-0 and we definitely should’ve gone for the try at 9-0. I assume Davies was making those calls being the captain

Missed the first 20 mins, but looks like England are just kicking France to death here so far. Putting up bombs that aren't being dealt with, and then just playing at a pace they cant live with in defence as gaps open up.

Despite the try at the end there the last 5 mins they had lost their heads a bit and conceded a soft one themselves, enough there to focus minds but so far, so good.

I’m not watching but sounds like you’re playing very well again but France making mistake after mistake.

Masterclass is a word Matt Dawson is using a lot.

Not looking good for us at the moment re the game in Cardiff.

I’m getting ready for Arnold to get up to his usual tricks saying Wales are massive favourites and will win by 40 points. I’ve got your number mate.

The only positive I’m taking from this is that we’ll get written off and we’re better under the radar.

I’m clutching, obviously
