This thread is for you to express all your Spurs related Transfer dreams and recommend young players you've seen that you think we should be keeping an eye on.

This thread isn't for discussing ITK.

As usual, the thread will run until the next Transfer Forums open after which we'll move all Transfer stuff over there like we always do as ITK ends up being discussed over here and we can't moderate it in several places at once.

Meanwhile the ITK and Transfer Forums are closed until the summer, which means nobody can see them, so don't panic.

Just came on to post my musings in the now-defunct transfer wishlist thread, so I'll kick this off. No pressure.

My major concern now that we've gone two full windows without making a signing is that all the signs suggest we're heading for wholesale change once again this summer, perhaps even more drastically than we did in 2013.

(People forget that, as well as Bale, we also lost Defoe, Caulker, Parker, Dempsey and Huddlestone that year).

As we know, our 7 new signings in that window took a while to gel, with arguably only two - Eriksen and Lamela - ever really coming good for us.

I can realistically see the following players departing this summer: Lloris, Trippier, Aurier, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Llorente, Vorm, Janssen, Nkoudou, Eriksen, and one of Lamela or Lucas.

In any case, I can see us needing to make a minimum of 6 signings this summer, which fills me with dread. I really think we're going to regret rolling our transfer windows over, twice, and doing all of our business at once.

The players I'd most like us to bring in are:

LB - Sessegnon
RB - Aarons
CM - Berge, Brooks, Barrios, Neves (any 2)
FW - Bowen, Werner

I would have liked De Ligt and Dolberg from Ajax too, but I think we've missed the boat on those by not getting them last summer. They'll be well out of our price range by now.

My Norwich mate raves about Aarons but as we have KWP I see little need for him.

I like the idea of more British squad players. Means we won’t be as desperate to sell to make quotas.

Sessegnon is versatile enough to cover the left so could hopefully get game time. Fulham will surely get relegated.

Wan Bissaka and Brooks will be expensive but look quality.

I saw the Leeds V Norwich game over the weekend on Tele. Aarons looked very good IMO. I think he is a clear upgrade on KWP. KWP seems a bit fragile mentally. I felt Aarons came across the tough game very well. Looked to impose his game every time.

David Brooks.
The Mail and the Mirror must read my posts cos I said last week we should get him for £50 mill and they are both running this story.

Football 365 like this and added we would use the fifty million pay off from Poch going to Man U to finance it all.

You’ve given up on Grealish?
Who me? Never been particularly bothered by him. If Poch wants him I will support his decision but making my own picks Grealish isn’t, and never has been, top of my list.

IMO the problems with the stadium scuppered all of our transfer plans this year. No naming rights deal and shelling out for Wembley was not expected. I'd be surprised if we don't wait to unveil the NWHL at the start of next season with a few incomings to add to the excitement.
First thing to address is the Toby and Eriksen situation. In an ideal world they both get new deals. If not i think we should go back for Pavard and we'd also have a very realistic chance at Brookes or Maddison if Eriksen went.
At RB I'd cut Trippier loose and if we could sell Aurier, Wan Bissaka is a good shout. Not sure where that would leave us with KWP in all honesty. Meunier would also be welcome IMO.
LB I'd like a player like Telles or Grimaldo but wouldn't be at all surprised if there was no change. I think we'll pass on Sessegnon.
In CM I'd expect Wanyama to be offered around. I think Skipp or Amos will be expected to step up. We might also go for Berge or Weigl. To fill the Dembele shaped hole I'd like a more aggressive runner like Barella.
I think we're not in bad shape up front and I wouldn't mind Llorente for another year. If not, Mitrovic will most likely be availabe. I can't see Werner or Jota being too excited about their prospects with us unfortunately.

I think we might spend a substantial amount but in reality I wouldn't expect more than 3 genuine first teamers and a couple of upgrades in the rest of the squad.

Sell players that are not good enough and/or injury prone.

Out: Llorente (out of contract), Vorm, Trippier, Aurier, Davies (solid player but not the best fit), Wanyama (maybe keep him), Lamela (I love him but he is injury prone and inconsistent) and Eriksen and Toby will go to bigger and more ambitious clubs.

Problem is replacing those players with quality and adding more HG players, not to mention fuckery of trying to gel all the new players in such a short time. New player who is stuggling to adapt is still better than a player who won't even play because he is injured all the time though.

In:
CB-Some left footed to cover for Jan would be great, couple of great options out there (Hermoso,Ake) but they won't be cheap. De Ligt will probably go to Bayern.
LB-Sessegnon (who can also play at LW), Tierney (difficult transfer),Chilwell, Telles
RB-Aarons, Wan Bissaka,
CM-Berge, Cook if we want a HG option. Doucore and Neves but too expensive. NDombele will replace Fernandinho in City probably.
Eriksen replacement-Brooks or Havertz. Both very expensive but realistic and Leverkusen never sell their players to Bayern. Last one we bought from Leverkusen also turned out to be pretty special.
CF-Not sure, someone cheap probably because there won't be any money left after signing the likes of Brooks/Havertz and any HG first team quality player.

And then buy some young players for the future that this club stopped doing for some reason. Palaversa signed for city for only 6m, plenty of great and cheap youngster out there. Clarke, Dani Olmo (would cost ~20m) etc.

David Button to replace Vorm
Neves to replace Wanyama
Mitrovic to replace Llorente

IF KWP isn’t deemed good enough, Aarons to replace either Trippier or Aurier.
IF Edwards isn’t deemed good enough, Jack Clarke to replace Nkoudou.

All of the above assumes we won’t be losing Eriksen, Alderweireld or any other regular starters.

Neves is way out of our price range. Even Pep said he was too expensive for City.

If Wanyama's kneees are truly done, I wouldn't mind picking up Phil Billing when Huddersfield go down. Does a similar job, is much more mobile than Dier, and counts as HG even though he's Danish.

I'd love to see Billing and Berge in the middle for us - both 6ft 5 units.

We know Poch loves power in the middle, and that sort of thing is great when we're on top of teams and can pin them back, but we still need to add another midfielder who can break out of quality pressing if we want to beat the likes of City and Liverpool. Winks can do it on his day, but we need another.

This would be an ideal four for me:

Dier, Billing, Winks, Ndombele.

Obviously, the latter's probably out of our price range now, so...

I saw that Batshuay's? ambitions changed on deadline day. Read that he wanted to come to thfc- but went to Palace instead. (Of course Chelsea wouldn't let us have him) but did CP pay the 40m or less than that??

I really hope we can integrate the likes of Onomah, Edwards, Walker-Peters, Roles, Shashoua, Skipp, Oakley-Boothe and Parrott into the squad. I don't think that would remove the need for any signings but if you look at the names there have been huge hopes for a number of them over the past few years. The oldest of them will be 22 so have plenty of time to earn their place. That would allow us to sell a few 'squad' players without worry of players needed to be registered.

Looking at the squad and who is considered homegrown, and expected outgoings (Llorente, Vorm, Nkoudou) we'll have 3-4 spaces dependent on whether Onomah is promoted to the first team.

Based on that, and our priorities, I hope we go for Brooks, Lozano and N'Dombele.

If Eriksen was to go then Brooks would be ready; Alderweireld gone: controversially, I'd let Sanchez and Foyth fill the void, drag Davies into a rotation LCB position and go for a dedicated LB - either Sessegnon or Guerreiro. I know they are quite different but to be honest I don't fully understand our criteria for full backs any more.
