True, I can’t understand how we have’nt got rid of Jansen yet
What tune is this part sung to, fella?
True, I can’t understand how we have’nt got rid of Jansen yet
If that's the case then I'd go back to my point that the scouting network needs to step up and identify more targets on a worldwide basis.Don’t think it’s solely down to money
As much as we might not like it, I think that a large part of it is that the players we now want\need don’t see us as an attractive choice.
I agree and its certainly Poch's thinking too.I think it's time to be pragmatic, a week ago we were in 4 competitions. We are now in 2 competitions and I'd say if we were to make a signing which would have made a serious impact on the remaining competitions then they would have to be top class. Top class doesn't move in January unless out of favour with their club or they're a bad egg, regardless whether it's spurs, united, city or whomever.
If we sign anybody now it's going to be shortsighted and just add to a problem we already have, a week ago yes we could have done with another midfielder or striker but realistically we are 80/90% assured of a top four place. We are far better off continuing to see Winks develop, Sissoko carry on and getting Wanyama back to full speed and giving Skipp some minutes. The forward line looks vastly better now Son is back, Moura is fit and Llorente will improve after coming out of the cold after 18 months of bench sitting and in a few weeks Kane and Dele will be back.
Long term this is best for the club, it's time to stop worrying about investments and focus on arriving into the summer in the top four with a trimmed squad which is primed for new faces in a brand new stadium. As much as we all want new signings, Poch has earn't that in the long run, this austerity will benefit the club.

I think we need to be honest with ourselves, the massive overspend on the stadium has crushed our transfer budget for the foreseeable future.
I’m happy with that. Night, night fuckosQuestion on Twitter to: @jetsetyid not strengthening the squad or improving on certain weak areas can’t have been the plan going into the last two windows can it?
Answer:
@jetsetyid No but also wide spread changing of team wasn’t in the plan either
If we could have lost a few and brought in the right players to replace we would have but Committee not going to panic buy.
This summer and 19/20 season was always the plan for new players for many reasons.
I agree and its certainly Poch's thinking too.
At risk of cursing it I can only see our injuries issues easing in the next 2-5 weeks. That doesn't really warrant a panic or short term buy, no way we get long terms and seems poch only wanted Rabiot now. If we had have lost Kane for the season it would have been an entirely different matter though.
The only issue I have is that we should have been offering firesale prices on outgoing pieces to set us up for the summer. Instead Janssen and N'Koudou will still be here.
Do you think milo minderbender has a midfielder he can sell us?
We need to be honest, clubs were never going to risk a fee or loan with oblogation to buy as he's only just returning from a long lay off and hasnt been deemed good enough for us.Chavs were never letting us have Batsuayi, ever!
Feel sorry for Jannsen though. The bloke was scoring a ton when he came to us. Now we can't even find him a club.
