Right now Poch is the problem. And I have shared that privately before it became public on hear. Guy is friggin stubborn. Alright, our budget is not the best, but slightly over 100m. Though not a set budget.

I worry. If you really believe too ending it with academy graduates, to give them. Chance, I am speechless.
100m is by no means a small budget, okay it’s not Man City but can definitely get 2 ‘world class’ players, surprised that Poch sees not even one person out there worth buying

If he’s so into bringing academy players through I wish he’d have given GKN’s place in squad to Edwards and given KWP a shot at right back considering the performances of Trippier. Not doubting what you’ve been told but I’d be astonished if that budget of 100m wasn’t Eriksen 75m + Toby 25m. To be honest I’d be astonished if we signed Jarrod Bowen next week.

Herc - not trying to ask ITK questions, but what does that sentence mean? Auto-correct on the phone mess it up?

Are you saying Poch just wants to give the academy guys the spots, which for a top 4 team is rather ridiculous if you can bring in better names through transfer?
Fat/drunk/angry fingers investigation: if you believe in ending it with academy graduates then give them a chance.

Christ on a bike, the fucking spin in here tonight. Some people are never happy with anything, it's all negative all the time.

Identifying players that we have ZERO chance of getting. Come in AVB!

Well, they should have considered this 3 years ago when they agreed to change his title from Head Coach, and ruled out hiring a Sporting Director.

“Let me pick my own players” was likely one of the first points on the agenda, and they’d just been through that with AVB.

Also, he had Sterling on the bench on Sunday while Llorente chugged around doing nothing. If he wanted to play the kids, he would be...

Sounds like he’s playing poker with the board.

Poch said about a year ago that he preferred to get players in January as he had 6 months to work with them and prepare them for the net season.

This seems a bit of a backflip.

I don't think it's a backflip, I think he doesn't want to bring in players in January that are expected to also play big roles in January.

Makes it sound like he feels he’s outgrown us, doesn’t sound good for the future

Certainly doesn't. With Man Utd waiting in the wings and having the ability to compete for the best players, it is worrying news.

Surely we aren't going to move forward properly unless both Levy and Poch compromise a bit. Poch surely has to be realistic about players we can bring in, and then Levy has to go everything he can to get them.

JJ on twitter:

Q: If you were a betting man JJ, will we see the squad bolstered by end of window ?

JJ: Up to Poch as so far he has been the blocker.

Q: Do you mean blocker as in Poch doesn't want the players offered to him or he feels he doesn't want new players in this window? (or further options!).

JJ: The latter

I think someone best check JJ knows which is which between “former” and “latter”... :p

Well, not to be a knee jerker but I think we are gonna struggle to keep in the top 4 unless they sign a couple of players. We’ve lost 90% of our goals ffs. Levy and Poch need a word..

I just hope this is not a beginning of the end and Poch reported stubbornness will not be used to spin the fans' perception and make them believe he was the part the problem, then after all it's not that bad he went to Real/Man Utd in summer. We can't afford that.

Not sure whether to think Poch’s stubborn streak is a good thing or just gross negligence... ? big rest of the season ahead for THFC if it goes badly....

If he does decide to go in the end, he could have the moral high ground that he never got the players that he asked for to support him taking the club further

A bit more,

Q: So Poch has put the block on players he has identified for 18 months as top targets? Or the club hasn’t matched his ambition and are offering players that suit a spreadsheet and not his wishes? I’d understand Poch blocking in that scenario.

JJ: I can tell you that he is happy with his squad and doesn’t want any new players. Let’s hope he is right (y)

Q: He's happy with llorente playing every game? A broken lamela also? Nkoudou having to play? Ummmm

JJ: We are hoping that he changes his mind but this is why he is so special and prefers to play all his squad

Well of course we have zero chance at signing top players in the way the club operates. You've even alluded to this when explaining Poch's quotes to the media, mate. It's about being brave and changing the way you operate at least once in order to achieve things. This means forking up the wages and agent fees. The difference between Poch and AVB here is that AVB accepted the cheap alternatives.
