Arnautovic replacement
Arnautovic replacement
Yes he is, but he's still learning and can lack consistency. He is in no way the finished article, but he has all the tools to become an exceptional player. He will need time, but he is already good enough to do a job for us. He's not a tricky player but his pace means he can beat players with ease. He's deadly on the counter. Ultimately I see him being primarily a number 9 but for now he plays as a SS and he can also play LW.
Any Romanian wingers who like prostitutes currently knocking about?
Timo Werner that’s a player I’d take. Young, talented, proven international level. Yes and please
His thread is now open...
Werner would be a great signing but I'm at a point where whenever we are linked to any player with any great potential who will be in demand, I'm pretty much expecting the standard 'we tried but were outbid on fee/wages/agent sweeteners'. Expecting Werner to be filed under that alongside the likes of Pulisic, N'Dombele, De Jong and De Ligt.
For all of his faults, and he has many. Levy has done this before. Ok it was with the ‘threat’ of relegation but he spent big in January.
Top 4 means as much to Levy now as that window did back then. New stadium, potential sponsors for it. He needs CL. He may well realise the dangers of not getting someone in.
Hopefully that someone is Werner or someone of the ilk.
ITK is thankfully implying a sense of urgency from the club at the moment ..." how do u knowITK is thankfully implying a sense of urgency from the club at the moment. There’s a significant risk of a lamentable domino effect should we fail to strengthen, neglect the manager’s demands and then we end up outside of the top four and trophyless again. Poch feels annoyed, and maybe leaves, followed by some of our best players. We lose CL money and negotiation leverage with potential sponsors. Etc etc etc.
If Levy doesn’t see the potential short term risks confronting his club and the long term effects they might have, then he’s not living up to his reputation as a shrewd and brilliant business man.
The time has come for Daniel to shit or get off the pot.
While I agree that CM needs to be the first priority, if we're able to do a deal for Werner then we need to go for it. We've been trying to find a suitable rotation option for Kane for years now, and most of the names we've been linked with in that time (Balde, Martial, Zaha, etc.) are pacey wide forward types who can slot in up top, so Werner would not be a panic signing so much as someone who fits the template of what we have been in the market for for a long time now.As much potential as Werner has, if we've hypothetically got £60m to spend, would a striker/attack-minded player really be the priority over a top-class CM? Leaving the Kane injury to one side for the minute, we're pretty well stocked with forward thinking players, but still lack quality in the middle.

A snowball's chance in hell but I'd take Bats or maybe Morata off of chelski's payroll
Why the fuck would we want proven shit? We’ve already got JanssenBoth players are shite and have been tried at this level...and both failed miserably..

Considering we're one of the ten or so wealthiest clubs in world football you'd think we'd be able to find room in the budget for both a forward and a CM. We've pretty consistently had ITK that it's not the money that's the issue, it's finding the right players. If Werner is available and ticks the boxes that Poch is looking for, we need to go for it.
