Guys there is a match thread to discuss the game.

Baz .. You called this yesterday and the spam police turned up yet you managed to squeeze in an entire Rudyard Kipling poem into the this same thread a few days earlier ?

Odd.

God after reading the Man Utd comments I hope I wake up Monday morning and find out we thrashed them... It should be a good game. They have some really good players and let's be honest havent been playing to there potential. But would be good if their fans could be a bit more level headed

Some of the latest offerings from the 'comedy club' aka Redcafe.

I don't get all the pessimism regarding Spurs. Yeah they may play some pretty football, but it's fecking Spurs.

Don't really mind if we lose as long as we keep playing the way we have been. But it's a hard game to call, feels like any number of outcomes is possible.
I really can't see how we will get beat. We have a momentum and I think the boys will be up to show that the last few games have not been flukes. Even if we lose, I think it will be a respectable loss. But I don't think we will.
Was hoping to be there.. Anyway, a draw would be great But is it wrong I'm still hoping for a win
We’ll stuff them, mark my words
...Not forgetting this last little gem..

Yeah it's Spurs. The side which smashed you at OT. Beat you at Wembley last season scoring within seconds. Finishing above you somewhat consistently these days. Yeah 'it's Spurs'.

Klopp's comments about us having a 'full squad against chelsea, lucky them' are ridiculous.

Agreed. The cheek to call us lucky on injuries when VVD, Salah, Firmino, Mane and Allison have missed about 5 PL games between them! Yeah they've got a few CBs out but we've had that in CM all season, and have used about 173 different defensive combinations.

I also looked and Dele, Eriksen, Son and Vertonghen have all started 13 or less PL games each.

Yet you don't hear Poch calling other teams lucky. Oh how I hope Liverpool choke this league title!

lets not go OTT, yep we won 3-0, but should of been 2-0 down at half time. just because we got 3 second half goals doesn't mean it would of been the same if we had been losing.

this game with Moaninho would of been a tough one, the difference will be they will be more forward thinking. we will need to defend well and put our chances away, and hope that Tuesday's 2nd half was a case of us conserving energy

That's neither here nor there really, the point is we won, comfortably in the end, something that wouldn't have happened in the past when we were pants and Utd fans readily dismissed us like that.

Well, someone had to take a look. In fairness they are relatively level headed and provide an accurate assessment of the game in that they worked for- and took- their chance in the first half and hung on for dear life in the second.

What strikes me most is how thoroughly elated they all are to have managed a victory over us. How perceptions have changed. We are now considered a top scalp as opposed to an easy picking.

Anyhow, a few extracts below (just from the first couple of pages, I couldn't bring myself to go any further):

"Well that was a both entertaining and nerve wracking game! After we led at the break Spurs threw everything at in the second-half and if not for the incredible heroics of David De Gea they would have got a draw, or probably even won this one.

This was labelled the first proper test of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United and I think we can say he gets high marks. We setup to counter-attack in the first-half and did so devastatingly at times, ultimately leading to Rashford's winning goal just before the break.

In the second-half we had some chances to extend our lead but as the game went on we dropped deeper and deeper as Spurs took total control of the game. Chance after chance came their way but De Gea would not be beaten."

"De God. Thank god Tottenham can't finish properly."

"Tense game, Spurs played very well and probably deserved a result but good win for the team."

"Any other keeper in there and we lose. By a few."

"Lads. It's Spurs..."

"Ole brilliant in first half, lucky in second but he's making a serious claim now"

"All I have to say is.....David De Gea Quintana. *Mic dropped* "

"Trippier’s crossing from RB is very very good. We need an outlet like that in our team. "

"I am bloody ECSTATIC with that result and performance. Went toe to toe with one of the best sides in the league, away from home and didn't just park the bus."

"Felt like a cup final. My god. DDG was immense."

"What a win but damn the second half was brutal "

"Huge win, absolutely huge. "

"1st half= counter attacking masterclass
2nd half= the DDG show "

"Wish I could enjoy this win, Spurs should've gotten 10 goals. Overly reliant on De Gea it's ridiculous, we got absolutely destroyed in the second half. Ugh, I didn't expect us to play prime Fergie football but at least play on the same level as them."
