Doesn't surprise me that we're looking at a relatively cheap option, considering Dembele could be leaving and Wanyama's problems seem to be chronic.
We can't fight on four fronts with only Sissoko, Dier and Winks as our three CM options.
They removed the cup tied rule from CLAgree.
Shame he would be cup tied for Champions League if we signed him though.
It really isn't though for a highly rated 23 year old international, considering the current state of the pound (it's roughly €20m, a couple of years ago it would have been €25m).Sounds a bit pricey

But when you consider we have £0 to spend, it’s too rich for our blood.
"The Austria international is also thought to have a release clause in his contract, which has more than two-and-a-half years left to run, of just over £18m"
Nothing in the austrian press yet... all about Arnautovic or alpine skiing
Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a cheaper option like him bought this month then go in for a bigger budget player in the summer after offloading the deadweights
Agree, but I think Poch has upped his standards with regards to that now so if he wants this guy then I’m all for it considering I don’t know much about him. He will help with the low numbers in CM at the very least.Won't do that IMO. One of Poch's bugbears is that the squad is clogged up with players who aren't up to standard and nobody wants to buy.

Surely the 18m release clause only applies to other Bundesliga clubs?
