Be lucky if this thread stays open tbh. The interesting insight we have had from the ITK is buried amongst the same thing typed out by the same people about the same subject.

Herc has been banging the same drum since the summer saying all isn’t well but you choose to ignore that ITK even when Poch comes out and corroborates it with pretty unequivocal comments, Daniel must be paying you well.

What the fuck are you on about? Don't fucking rope me into your shitty world. You're not the only one beating the same drum, but like you reading all the 'usual bollocks from the Levy nuthuggers' the same could be said for you.

Thank for the ITK.

Tricky.

This all seems a bit ...

I want a weekend with “insert the hottest female celebrity here”

But she doesn’t.

Maybe I’ll ask again in the Summer

Ok great, we all know top players would prefer to go to Barca, Real, poxy Chelsea apparently, but what now?

Just buy no one.

With Eriksen and Toby ( plus others if that trend is set ) likely leaving that plan is going to leave us well short.

And as it has rightly been said, if we’re not a big enough club to keep and attract top players, Poch won't want to stick around to long.

We will pay for the right players the problem is finding players Poch wants that will come to us. Poch obviously only wants top end players now, and unfortunately they are converted by Europe's elite. He is adamant he doesn't want players just to fill a gap because we can't move them on when better becomes available. If we buy players he isn't convinced on we then get stick for not backing the manager. It will be his choice if we get no one, because the ones he wants are not obtainable. It is very AVB-esque in a way, but at least the club are backing him in the fact we won't go for other people's options instead.
Its a shame the stadium has gone through the delays that it has. I think I speak for many in thinking that it would help us attract some players.

Levy was never going to let a deal for a youth player jeopardise a £50 million transfer for a full back. It looks like a terrible decision in hindsight, but that's the nature of football transfers.
It looked like a pretty terrible decision at the time too.

I'm finding this all a bit confusing (might be because I'm a bit thick!).
It's confusing because it's a far more complicated area than most of us fans will ever contemplate (I imagine) and because the info that we get from ITKs isn't always going to be 100% of the situation.... unless Trix is secretly Levy!

There will be all sorts of reasons that a transfer won't go through and those might be the fault of the ENIC model, of Poch's targets, of our scouting network, of the players we are after or the clubs who own those players' contracts.

Trix's latest info would suggest that Poch has put his foot down somewhat in terms of not adding players for the sake of it, and if that holds up it would seem unlikely we add anybody in January. The upcoming summer should give more of an indication of where we're at with (hopefully) the new stadium open and no major international tournament.

I 100% agree but the problem we face is that Daniel Levy clearly believes that the only irreplaceable person st the club is him and that he doesn’t need to spend the necessary money to keep Poch. I have no doubt that he believes if Poch leaves he can find another coach who can keep us in the CL places while spending nothing. The real issue in Poch’s comments today is that ENIC don’t share his or the fans ambition to win things, they just want the money from CL qualification.

The funny thing is that notwithstanding Poch making his second “change or else” speech in 8 months the BSoDL will be out in force to explain how we are paupers, how the stadium will change things in some indeterminate point in the future and how if we don’t buy into ENIC’s Project Fear we will end up like Leeds. It is just staggering that people keep spewing this utter nonsense when all the facts are to the contrary. Just watch the replies to this post for evidence.
Not sure whether that's want or need.
£1bn stadium suggests 'need'....
