JJ saying pulisic turned us down.. why a young player would chose them over us nowdays is weird.

Guess it has to do with money (and trophies) :X3:
In that case, he has zero interest in actually improving as a player. Whatever. He made his bed, now he has to lie in it. Have young players just not paid any attention to that club? Going there is one of the dumbest moves you could make as an improving player not at the level yet. Will be detrimental to the US but the US national program is detrimental to itself every day so no big deal.

I don't see Pulisic as a Hazard replacement personally either.

Hazard tends to play left and Pulisic plays on the right, so he would be fighting Pedro and Willian (who may be looking to leave).

Chelsea are a player graveyard though, just obscene how many players they have out on loan or just waste.

He can play on both sides, he lined up against us last season on the left.

Sounds like me.. Can play darts, snooker, tennis etc with both my left and right arms/hands plus left and right footed in my football days.

But equally bad with both.

Pulisic had our defenders on skates every time he ran at us. Proper bumhole clenching stuff. He’ll be fine in the PL.

He wants out and i can't believe they won't accept a deal worth 30m. He's only played 3 games.

If they really rated him he would have played more

I’ve only seen a little of him but I’m not sure he’s even worth £5 million. He’s shown nothing to be worth the numbers being bandied about.

The boy is mustard. If he goes to Bayern, he will do a Sancho. Wouldnt be a surprise to see him in the England squad this time next year if he gets his move away from Chelsea.

Watching th Sarri interview on MOTD, it felt like it was the club’s decision not his. He suggested the club suggested it and he was “positive” but he didn’t seem overly enthusiastic

The same thing happened with Conte when they signed Barkley.

He’s a talent of course. He’s also a moron, who describes Chelsea as a legendary club? Div

What people are focusing on is how Dortmund have upgraded on him and made £50m in the process! It’s great work.
Pulisic is a fine player but Hazard he will never be. Not even close, so that’s a bonus for us surely ( assuming Hazard is actually leaving! )

It's probably an age thing. He's twenty and if you look at what they've won over the last ten or fifteen years you can see why he'd think that.

Yes, unfortunately there is a generation of fans and now players who only know Chelsea are a successful club.

They are the graveyard of youth talent. I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance that he goes there and ends up not making it, goes on loan to someone, and then ends up resurrecting his career in five years time. But I guess his money will keep him happy.

Tis true as I believe he is more a right-sided winger / attacker, which we have covered as usually play Eriksen / Dele / Son interchangeable or in weird diamond Poch seems to love at present and also have Lamela and Lucas who both play there (although I'd debate Lamela could be more effective central with a bit more freedom

He can play left or right but grew up playing as a 10 so could do a job anywhere across the 3 in a 4231. He was played wider at Dortmund because of his dribbling ability but he's also got a really good eye for a pass. Hes not had the best of years for various reasons but he's got the potential to be a real star. Unfortunately I don't think he'll ever fulfil it at Chelsea

Perhaps. It’s not difficult to look at what’s been done over history though. Legendary is a huge word to describe a football club.
Definitely not apt when it comes to Chelsea imo.

Rumour is they want Cavani for £50 million, smacks of desperation if true.

Seen both Cavani and Higuain mentioned.

Not very informative, but feck 'em and Pulisic.

Chelsea capable of ruining any players career. Shit show of a club who seldom no how to harness the talent they spunk millions on, and certainly have no idea what to do with emerging talent or the top youngsters they acquire happily farming them out to the far flung corners of the World.

Feck 'em. :finger:
