Some decent goals in this video, looks like he'd be a fine option as our 6th choice attacking mid.

He looks okay from YouTube, although that doesn't mean much. Could be very good, could be average at best. But really, we are stacked for wingers, I feel we really want another one cant we just give Edwards a chance. I know he might well not be good enough, but considering the amount of minutes a young player like this would actually get shouldn't we try and give one of our own a shot before bringing in someone external.

Edwards gone to Holland and done absolutely nothing.. gone out on loan to Norwich and only caused agro struggling to see why he deserves the opportunity over a lad whose playing regularly and scored 10 goals this season

I actually think Edwards has been looking pretty good in the games he’s started for Excelsior and I certainly wouldn’t give up on him quite so quickly. By all accounts his issues come from feeling home sick. Considering we have 0 need for another winger we really risk nothing by giving him a shot. Why spend money on a player that’s not needed and will only play rarely. Why not give that spot to a club trained prospect.

If we actually want him and can't get him from the mighty Championship mid-table Hull City then there's no hope left. He scored again today btw.

Yeah, but it’s reliant on us shifting GNK, Llorente and Dembele. Maybe then our transfer policy will kick in, but it won’t be easy. Championship players only want to play for elite teams

Tottenham may have to pay £20m for Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen

Tottenham may need to stump up at least £20m if they hope to land Hull City's young winger Jarrod Bowen this month, Sky Sports News understands.

The Tigers are aware that Spurs scouts have been watching Bowen closely in recent matches, along with a number of other Premier League clubs - but they are not under any pressure to sell their standout star.

Sky Sports News understands that Burnley, another club in the January market for wingers, have also sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old at the KCOM Stadium.

Spurs have remained interested in signing a young homegrown talent capable of playing in the positions behind Harry Kane, since the summer, when their £25m move for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish fell through.

Bowen has a year-long extension option in his contract, effectively giving him three-and-a-half years left on his Hull deal, and the club believe he is worth a similar price to other attackers that have recently stepped up from the Championship.

Among the cost markers for a player of that profile is James Maddison, who joined Leicester from Norwich City for £24m last summer.

£20m isn't extortionate in the current market tbh.
(but probably too much for Pauper FC, a.k.a. Tottenham)

Agree with your first sentence and to the second one I would point out that we were going to pay more than that for Grealish in the summer.

So much moaning. However did we create a team which contains the following bought players ...Lloris, Tripper, Vertonghen, Toby, Sanchez, Foyth, Rose, Eriksen Alli, Moura, Son, etc etc.

I agree- we’ve built a very good team. But let’s not rest on our laurels. We can’t stand still. A few players are either getting close to the end of their contracts or are on their last legs. Some clever recruitment is now required. (like we have done in the past).

Can’t wait for the inevitable “was always going to be a difficult deal” comment when we don’t sign another championship player.. players like this should be an easy deal for us to complete if we’ve been watching for months and working to make it happen

If we were going to pay more than that for Grealish, we'd have done it and he'd be here now rather than slumming it out at toss awful 10th place Villa.

If we didn't try and hold struggling clubs to ransom, we'd have got Grealish before the Villa takeover, and probably would have had a decent shot at Maddison too, who now looks a steal.

If this Hull kid looks the business and Poch wants him, just pay the damn money.

At 22 years old and coming from the Championship, I'm going to assume he won't make a significant dent in the wage budget.

Poch is fully aware that we're looking at Bowen IMO.

For example, Dele and Dier were club signings, not players Poch asked for/asked to be scouted.
Starting to tell porkies just like Harry Redknapp use to ?
