I love the guy now - I used to sigh deeply when I saw his name on the team sheet but now I'd be shocked if he wasn't on it. Delighted for him - he has really stepped it up when we needed him the most due to our injuries and he will rightly keep his place in the starting line-up even when those other midfielders return to fitness.

Watching him run through the midfield is an absolute pleasure - he must be horrible to play against.

if he could score he would be become ridiculously expensive.

Still find the whole situation really bizarre. Being shit for a year I could kind of understand. But to be miles off for 2 years and then suddenly come good really is quite strange. Honestly can’t think of a bigger turn around in a PL player ever long may it continue.

I honestly loved listening to our fans singing "Aaahh Moussa Sissoko" - he deserves all the praise for hanging in there until his confidence came back. It's like the fans have corporately realised the power of encouragement and we're all willing for him to score now.

Hahahahahaha :X3:
You are going to assume it's made up. Can you not figure out how to navigate Google and websites to find stuff for yourself?

Jesus Christ here you go Granpa

Player ratings from sites like that are notoriously unreliable. It doesn't take into account context or quality of the opposition, and is purely based on statistical measures. Not exactly the best way to judge a player.

While I agree support is important I believe his turnaround is down to lost hard work.

He has got his head down and improved his fitness so he can be our enforcer.

Once he found a role to accentuate his strengths he has improved further and grown in confidence.

Full credit to him as I and many others just didn’t believe he had it in him.

Well he wasn't "miles of it" for two years. He had a decent season last year. You were just too stuck in your mindset to accept it.

The manager didn't. In fact Poch explicitly and patiently explained to people like you that Sissoko was our best midfielder in transition last season.

Sorry it just annoys me when people keep claiming Sissoko was gash for two seasons. He was more than decent in his second year and has been excellent in his third.

End rant.

I think he was working hard the whole time, which is why Poch persisted with him. Confidence has a very real affect imo.

Absolutely, never doubted his work rate but I don’t think he was ‘Poch fit’.

Now he is up to level he can perform better and improve in other areas.

Would love to see what Poch could have done with Zokora.

I would love to play next to him, supreme athlete, work rate and teamwork.

Doesn't seem to pick up injuries either.

Down to our last midfielder...let’s not say we didn’t see it coming after this summer, only a matter of time...

Hope I don’t get too Neg Repped for this...but Yaya Toure is available for nothing, our lack of central midfield options now, even at 35 I think he could do a job in that midfield...6 month contract with option of a further year. Man has won it all, and bossed the prem, may know Serge well too.
Couldn’t hurt imo..nothing to lose at this point

How can you realistically plan for 4 of them to be injured at the same time? We only usually play 2 of the fuckers at once anyway!

Wanyama hasn't been fit for two years and everyone knew Dembele was on his last legs and kept suffering injury issues.

It is absolute incompetence by the club. They left us short in the summer and now we are paying for it.
