Villa two up, pissed it away and let Leeds score two goals after atrocious defending, then should've given away a penalty for a ridiculous hand ball that wasn't spotted.

Watching this with a Villa fan has been very entertaining.

Young Leeds left back is a talent. He is right footed as well so out of position.
Score lovely first goal.

Pal of mine is Leeds so I watch them more than I otherwise would. Used to hate them for all the obvious reasons but I have to admit they look the business under Bielsa, after fannying about with no-marks for so long!

So yesterday was a good day’s work with both out teams coming from behind for very important wins. Only difference is, they did it in the Championship, we did it in the proper football. ?

They’ll be in the PL next year. Best team in their division.

Haven’t seen Leeds play so I can’t comment about them but I have seen Middlesbrough etc play and they would all get crushed in the Premier League. Three teams have to come up but I do wonder if that is too much with such a large gap in quality these days.

Good point.

But the best way to improve things in my view isn’t to reduce the number of teams coming up, but to re-integrate the leagues so that the money is more evenly distributed. It won’t happen though because the big clubs aren’t really interested in football at all, only in the money and influence they can get from it.

Mini-rant over.

The Championship leaders at Christmas have been promoted each of the last 13 seasons.

So Leeds will probably make it 14.

I'm an old school Leeds hater from the 1970's brand of football they played and automatically refer them
as "Dirty Leeds"

Said it before il say it again. This kid is a proper talent. Come on halftime and scored. He is a player who will play at the very top level.

Sign him up.

Watching Forest vs Leeds now. Really entertaining second half. Bielsa going for the win even when being down at half-time and down to ten men

Sooo Bielsa cheatgate. What does everyone think? It's obviously not right, though it amuses me that Derby's security is so lax that people are even able to spy on them.

Were any rules or laws actually broken, or is this a purely ethical matter? If he was on their premises without permission then that's trespassing.

I have to admit I will have thought this would have happened more often in some form or another, managers try to get an extra advantage.

Apparently Poch said in his press conference today that it's a common occurrence in Argentinian football and the pundits on there began wondering if he had been up to it too!

Football has no ethics. Players are taught to cheat at Avery level from fouling, to dirty tricks, contesting every refereeing decision and of course diving if touched by a strand of hair from an opposing player. So whatever Lampard (who knows all about dirty tricks having been part of that Chelsea team) is morning about please don’t go on about ethics.
