I think the point of showing some goodwill to supporters is key here. They could take a leaf out of the book of other clubs, not least Leicester, but instead just fleece supporters. I think there is a certain arrogance from the board that perhaps will be challenged by the embarrassment of empty stands at Wembley. There are so many ways they could give something back but I guess it's not the Spurs way

Completely agree. The loyal supporters like us are so stupid, brainwashed and emotionally attached that literally any gesture would have been seen as an amazing gift by the club to us for our support over the years and would have led to thousands questioning for a little longer whether to attend the soulless bowl a bit more or not

33k is probably embarrassing but still makes them a few quid at the prices they are charging. 30k to 28k to 25k in our next three games at Wembley and embarrassment might turn to worry. Probably not though!

Levy is all about price points. Players, Sponsorship, Tickets- everything. Even if he doesn't sell he thinks he's maintaining brand value.

To retain support for the team they should have sold the Wembley tickets in monthly blocks, a la UCL the season before last- at hefty discounts for B and C matches.

But time for ENIC, and the scums to realise that for the non-corporate, paying punter that peak ticket prices are about to be hit- if they haven't been hit already. 40K would still be filled, for Soton at home on a wet, cold midweek evening, but not 60K. Even Wham has shown the fans will still roll up if its more affordable.

So that’s pretty much the finished look. Have they opened more flaps or maybe just shows more because of the sun ?

They don't 'open' or 'close' the facade panels or 'flaps', they are designed and fixed in that position, so there will never and can never be a time when they are all open or closed (unless they are replaced), they are as they will always be. One of the reasons they are like that from a visual perspective is that the sunlight changes their appearance throughout the day thanks to the varied shadowing, which is why they look more 'open' in that pic.

Im not saying that it shouldnt look out of place atm. It’s supposed to as the wider project hasnt even begun yet. I was just saying that it does look out of place and a bit weird so im not sure why the DM is getting ripped.

Because it's a stupid unnecessary click bait article from the DM

Hey water is wet...Who knew.

Thanks! They best not just be teasing me haha. Was my bank account not Spurs one. And afraid it isn't timestamps except for being today but think it must have shown up within the last couple of hours.

Haha no it looks to me like you've been successful. Its also reassuring to me that it hasn't shown up on spurs account for you yet, since I used a debit card to apply it wouldn't show 'pending transactions' so I still got my fingers crossed that I've been successful.

Yeah I've just had the same thing. £3 for myself and two others. Still no email though so will have to wait for confirmation.

I think the howls about this season's ST prices confirms that people don't respond well when you hold prices for a couple of seasons before raising them rather than steadily raising them each year.

Modern football mate. It's shit but it's here to stay* :(

*until we're shit again, and probably still even then

Levy is probably just taking the money and you’ll have to claim it back if you don’t get a place. Otherwise it will go towards next season’s transfer budget.

This was all believable until you said transfer budget.

I'm not sure I understand your point...

if they had said once they knew there would be a delay that as a season ticket holder you would be assigned the same seat as last season, and then refund the difference. so as an example as a ST holder the cost of a Cat C game last season = £40, but due to the ticket you have purchased for the New WHL that ticket for that match would of been £60, so you only got a refund of £20 instead of the whole £60 then more Season ticket holders would attend the matches. Now they can pick and choose the games they want.

the below is the post for the reasons why I believe the costings are what they are. just remember ST holders if they decide to book a ticket for any match are still receiving a small refund and a discount compared to members, unless your buying tickets in a dearer area for Wembley

last season when we had Wembley the action to get more than the normal 50k for extra events was done in the build up to the season. we never asked for that this season as we was meant to be at the NWHL, and due to the uncertainty of when we will return or even due to reasons because we had it last season the locals didn't want it again.

so at the moment every match if we sold all would be 12k down on what was expected. because of the problems every home game 42k guaranteed money is no longer guaranteed, 8k premium members money in not guaranteed. we are also paying quite a lot of staff now double their wages compared to last season, we are paying a weekly rent to Wembley, the building costs went up massively, and many want the club to give big discounts to make even bigger loses because it's harder to get to, lacks atmosphere or because they have the hump because they once sat in the cheapest seats in the old WHL, and now have to pay the same as the West Stand having been paying for all the seasons ST's have been in place.

the annoying about it all is that the only things the club are at fault for are 1. not freezing the West Stand prices providing you sat in a similar area to the old WHL, so that the hike on the East wasn't so big. 2, not just use Wembley for 2 seasons and hope for permission for bigger crowds. if they had the opportunity to sell 80k tickets for a midweek match then selling them cheaper wouldn't hurt the club.

the most annoying thing though is everyone that is moaning and expecting the club to give back, and it's not even their fault
