one thing i dont get is if he rated foyth so highly then why did he not include him in our cl squad, which resulted in him being included today (because he had a rest in midweek)
Totally agree making subs at particular times, as when the Gooners made them helped swing momentum their way. We were were crying out for extra dynamism/ energy in midfied and to link-up with Kane at around 55 mins. Poch made our subs too late today, momentum had swung.Undoubtedly Poch's Achille's Heel is his inablity to accept things are going awry and substitutions are necessary. This is either through a genuine difficulty that he has in recognising problems developing on the pitch or pure bloody stubborness concerning his original selection. Half time substitutions are as rare as rocking horse shit regardless of scoreline or our opponent's superiority in the match. I would love to see the stats for how often other Premiership clubs make half time changes compared to Spurs....we have made just one so far this season.
Bringing fresh players on when you are 2 goals down and just ten minutes left is totally and utterly pointless. Just wish someone would have the balls to ask him during the post match interview "Why did you leave your substitutions so late ??" It is a total mystery to me why he stands there passively watching the match disintegrate in front of his eyes without doing anything to try and retrieve the situation. It has been a weakness for far too long now and he clearly does not learn from his mistakes in this area of decision making.
It's as if he regards it as a sign of failure to take off one of his selected first eleven and replace him with another player.....very, very worrying quality that often costs the team dearly against top opposition..
The turning point of the game was Son's weak shot from outside the box when Belerin gifted him the chance. With no Arsenal defender within 10 yards of him, Son should have moved forward into the box to ensure a better shot. Had he scored, that would have turned the tide for us.
He was right on the edge of the 18 with no defender near him. None of our attackers are passing from that position.or he should have played in Alli like someone less greedy would have done

He was in the best position...which is why we waste so many chances... City players work the best position.. If you watch Pep he rebukes players that don`t give the ball to the best placed player...

Should have scored...but....that was a lucky break from an Arsenal error....In general our system was not working with the personnel we had on the field.

I In 33 games in all competitions this season, Tottenham have made 99 substitutions. That they have garnered just one goal and one assist between them suggests that this is quite the problem.
Appalling. Nothing seems to change either.
Points to the players Poch brings on not being motivated to impact the game, as that’s a shocking stat.
