We haven’t turned up at all in recent seasons against City. It’s like we turn up knowing we’re beat. It’s ridiculous to watch. Almost like some players would see it as a bonus if we lost 3 or 4-1 because at least we scored this time.

I agree with the posts above, as much as I love this team, watching them this season I’ve no idea how we are in the position we are.

You cannot make a mistake against City. Trippier made two in six seconds.

Other than that we've played alright.

I am still bitter over the Kyle Walker sale, I never wanted him to go and I do my best to overlook it, then Trips gets burned for Pace and he opens up old wounds.

Think Trippier really struggles in a back four, basically highlights all the bad parts of his game. With a back five it allows him much more freedom and less need to defend.

City are on another level. We look dejected.

I imagine Poch’s comments this week haven’t exactly helped lift things tbf.
If we are dejected (and I don't think our response suggest that we are), it's because Trippier gifted them a goal within the opening minutes, not because of anything Poch has said.

Trippier Trippier Trippier...as if Serge would get anywhere fucking near Sterling or Sane without getting booked.

Not sure why Poch doesnt take Trippier off immediately but ok. Team is much more important than a players confidence when that player has been trash all season. He should not have started this game.
