How many people out there have a spare 3 billion to spend on a football club?

They would have to borrow a lot of it you would think like the Glaziers have done. Unless its a crazy rich person I can only hope it turns out terribly bad for them and onlt then if they want to put all their own money in whoch youd think no sane uber rich person would do.

If you believe the press Jim Ratcliffe has already tried and he is richer than Abramovich! Would be just their luck to get bought out by someone even richer

That would be amusing for everyone else though... Ratcliffe has zero interest in football, he'd basically turn Chelsea into a posher version of Newcastle. Only instead of Sports Direct, everything would be Ineos.

For example, he owns FC Lausanne, and did this:

How is it that with their owner banned from entering the country Chelsea still had such a ridiculously good transfer window? All 3 of their starting central midfield would be the best CM at Tottenham.

Abramovich doesn’t have to physically be in the UK to sign the cheques. He will have delegated that to other directors at Chelsea.

Yeah I know I'm just saying that we heard so many reports of how Chelsea were in turmoil, owner not allowed in the country and considering selling, stadium on hold, lost their technical director, had Conte there for most of the summer, Sarri in limbo, Hazard apparently definitely leaving for Madrid. And yet despite all that, the shortened window and the world cup, they still had a fantastic window, improved the squad no end and hit the ground running.

In contrast, we had total stability, long term targets that had been discussed for months that we effectively had the whole of last season to set up and therefore execute early in the window, and yet we couldn't even complete 1 deal. Sad indictment of everyone involved. Clearly we need a complete review and probable overhaul of the transfer process.

Thanks to financial doping, Chelsea have been successful during the Russian’s reign and have increased their revenues through new plastic fans and increased sponsorship deals.

FFP doesn’t seem to affect them as they are making large profits on the young players they have cleverly scouted and stockpiled.

Even without Champions League football, they can blow us out of the water with transfer fees and wages.

Just to get this thread back on track, it seems Hazard is using the international break to flutter his eye lashes at Madrid whilst the the same time saying he doesn’t want to disrespect Chelsea. You gotta love how stupid footballers can be to think that they actually believe the shit that they come out with in their head.

Will be great for us if he does go in Jan in terms of top 4 and domestic cups. Avoids Madrid also imminently going for any of our players, which to be fair, aside from Kane I wouldn't pick ahead of Hazard.

They’d be wiser going for Hazard than Kane. They are in the midsts of a run of bad results and a signing like Kane isn’t going to appease their fans as much as signing Hazard would do. They’d probably cost the same too, not that that’s something that has bothered Madrid before.

Chelsea will consider taking racist fans to Auschwitz to re-educate them.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who is Jewish, is the driving force behind the club's zero tolerance policy on racism and he is committed to tackling the rise of anti-semitism in society.

Chelsea have already organised and paid for two trips to Auschwitz this year for club executives, staff and supporters...

Not sure if this has been discussed on another thread but fair play for trying something like this

Zero-tolerance policy?! They've got to be kidding me. That club has been anti-Semitic and then some for decades and has done sweet fuck-all about it. From the Yid abuse to Auschwitz chants to National Front leaflets being handed out at their games. And now they want to get some good PR out of it by saying how very difficult it is to ban racists when there's lots of them, and how instead they're sending them on holiday to Poland? The vile, vile stuff their fans come out with is beyond offensive is illegal. And as far as I'm concerned criminals should be going to prison - I think you'd find things changing at that club very quickly.

There was a Donal McIntyre programme many years ago where he was with those wonderful Chelsea’s lowlifes and one of them said he had been to Auschwitz and was throwing Nazi salutes while there. I don’t think that taking them there again is going to work somehow.

Yeah I know this can't ever make up for the fact that they have been utter scum at times but if it does somehow make a few of their younger lot stop and think for a minute about why their club has such a bad name then it can only be a good thing in my opinion.

It doesn't change the past but we can only hope that racism is eventually stamped out from football.

Edit- Sorry @RickyVilla, I accidently spammed you but have removed it in case you're a cryer. ;)

hopefully it will sort out a few, the only trouble is they need to be taking the majority over there, because even though the whole crowd don't act the way the minority do, most of them have racist ingrained since their childhood. them, Millwall and Spam have a history of treating their own black players with disrespect for generations, yet they soon backed players like Drogba when he was winning trophies, but bet they chucked in a few choice words when in the boozer after he had scored for them.
