Best Ive seen him look since injury. Still lost a bit of pace, but first time in ages I’ve seen him beat a man on outside and get a cross in even if it was a 34 yr old lol.

I feel he needs one good game with us to kick on back to the Danny we knew that terrorised defences in 2015/2016.

Can play well for England but is his heart still in it to play well for us?

Hasn't been anywhere near match fit up until now

Last night he was getting back to where he was and looks like he's almost at the weight he was pre injury

From watching last night its, 'Welcome back to the real Danny Rose'

Fingers crossed anyway because before his injury his form was quite brilliant

Do our full backs ever get 4 games on the bounce, barring injury or pissing Poch off of course.
Rose and Walker used to play just about every single game from what I remember before Poch started rotating them like 3/4 of the way through the 15/16 season.

They may not get exactly 4 on the bounce but one may play twice, be somewhat rested or not selected for the 3rd and continue to play the next few but there would still be a visible first choice, apart from at RB when we weren't sure who was preferred out of Trippier and Aurier. What I mean is that up to now, even when fit Rose has clearly been behind Davies in the pecking order, even if filling in from time to time and there certainly hasn't been some sort of even rotation between the two, but I would just like to see the roles slightly reversed for a period to see what we can get out of Rose.

I don't think Rose has ever been fully fit until right now since the 15/16 season.

Yeah you're probably right, but he'd been in the squad and available for selection for the second half or back end of last season. My thought since he's come back from injury is that he's not gonna excel much playing the odd single game to then be sat out for the next few again.

A refocused fit Rose is one of the best left backs in Europe, only bettered by Marcelo and maybe Alba

He'd have to do a lot to reach Mendy's level as well.
And I think that's about fitness more than ability. Both players have suffered long-term injuries. Don't think there's much difference in level when both are at prime fitness. Mendy's younger, which helps him. It just remains to be seen whether Danny can sustain his fitness.

Might be worth starting him tomorrow to negate their pace and push their fullback back. He can do that a bit better than Davis because of his pace.

I think him starting tomorrow is an absolute must but not because of the pace, more so because he provides a varied attacking threat from the left. Yes he has the pace to go down the outside but he can also come on the inside and also shoot from range. Most of our play needs to be down the wings to overcome Liverpool's counter press

Two things:

Is Danny Rose alive?

Mendy mentioned above. Worst player on the pitch in our match with city. They have unlimited funds and still have a stinker.

Yes they have and yet some numpties think shifting Trippier is a good idea.
And Rose.
And Davies.
And Aurier as he's obviously not up to it.
Squad wise we've still got very good fullbacks compared to other clubs.
Who are these full backs we can afford who improve us?
Or hasn't anyone thought that far ahead.

Probably upset the natives again with this post but fk 'em lol (not butt fk them. That's completely different).
