Looks like Everton are the latest to try the "sign a whole new film first XI in one summer" technique.

Be interesting to see how they and Wolves get on, as it's not been a good idea in seasons past

They're still trying to push through a deal for Kurt Zouma on loan as well, how many players have they got

It will end the same way, you can't intregrate that many new players in one window, it's mental.

But it's less of a risk for Everton. It's highly unlikely they are going to be threatened with relegation so their new players and manager get a season to bed in. Wolves, however, are gambling these signings keep them up.

You say that, but they did similar last season and were threatened with relegation.

I doubt Marco Silva will see out the season at Everton. Really not convinced by him.

He has still yet to do any convincing in the defensive side of the game. Yesterday was a perfect example. Conceding two to a newly promoted team.

Unless they score a lot of goals they are going to drop a lot of points.

They finished 8th :bored:

Not with the manager who bought and played all the shiney new players.

Allardyce doesn't seem to get much respect for where they finished. He turned a shit into a chocolate mousse, and all their fans did was moan about the flavour.

I'd say meat and potatoes rather than chocolate mousse but yeah.

A direct free kick scored after their most experienced player pulls a Slippy G, dives in and gets himself sent off hardly counts against the manager does it? The second was also a peach cross by Neves. It's like saying we have a serious defensive problem because of the goal we conceded yesterday.

I thought Everton played quite well with 10 men for 50 minutes.

I was thinking of something half decent you could make make a poo look like.

I'm not sure I've ever squeezed out something that could be make to look like meat and potatoes! :cautious::ROFLMAO:

I’m not basing it on one game. I’m basing it on his time in the Premier League as a manager. 43 matches, 82 goals conceded. (1.9)

Even comparing that with someone like Eddie Howe, who isnt’ exactly known for his defensive coaching (195 goals in 115 matches (1.7)) it doesn’t compare favourably.

Every year they come out with this at the start of the season. Hopefully it will go as usual. They may become a problem if Usmanov sinks his goo net profits into them but hopefully they will stay in obscurity. It is interesting how they label themselves as the friendly old fashioned “people’s club’. That didn’t stop them illegally approaching Silva when he was at Watford. They should have been docked points for that. Richarlison will soon lose interest if he thinks bigger clubs are wanting him.
