I think this is the saddest moment for me since I am cheering for Spurs (been 11 years now). Not because we didn't sign anyone but because I think something is not good within the club. For the first time I am not sure that the future is bright and lillywhite.

This is painful, not skipping on signing players like Sokratis for example

My only genuine concern has been finding cover for Kane and for me Martial is the answer.

I will be genuinely gutted but not surprised with Utd resisting us, but I do think a change of system to the same as City will mean we are well equipped to do really well.
Would still love a last minute Martial deal though to give us a chance to go all the way and win something this year.

Maybe his list would be longer if our scouts did their job??? If other, smaller clubs around Europe can unearth the next gems when they only cost 5-10m, why can't we? It's not always about the finished article.
