Well I like to set my sights high and that's with trophies. If SUCCESS to you is a new ground and being in the top 4 then great. But as a great man once said

It better to fail aiming high than succeed aiming low. And we at Spurs have set our sights very high. So high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory. Danny Blanchflower

We're going to have to agree to disagree. Success is measured in trophies and as one of the most successful clubs in England, 6th or 7th, we should always be aiming high and that is with silverware.

I agree we should aim high but my point is we're not yet in a position where we can consider anything but winning the league a failed season. When we regularly win trophies year in year out then I'll start to see a trophyless season as a failure but until then we need a different benchmark of what is a successful season.

That's fair enough. I will add that although we don't agree on what is successful, this has been a great season as was last year and it's been hugely more enjoyable than many a shite year we've had since I started going in 81. Onwards and upwards... towards success.;):)

Everton just managed to get £12m from the little retirement home we’re running over here in the states for Shrek so fair play to them.

Didn't watch Keane much at Burnley, but with people on the TV raving about him and Everton paying a good amount for him I had reasonable expectations of him, but he has been terrible since he went there. One of the worst signings of the season.

I suppose it proves it's not just a question of throwing money at a player that's had a good season.

Apparently their dressing room is a ‘war zone’ and Ounar Niasse is at the centre of it - wonder what he’s done to piss off so many players?

Although Everton fans on twitter have moved to dispel this story as total shit as apparently Niasse went to Tom Davies (who there is supposed to be most beef between) birthday bash!

He was the one Koeman refused to play. Maybe he is a bit... Adebayorian?

Maybe but it is a bit harsh to speculate.

Maybe he moved country to make a success of his career and it isn’t working out.

People are very to write others off as having a bad character with little info nowadays.

Was it on Jim white’s show?

He was pissed off last week theyd sacked his mate fat Sam so maybe he’s causing trouble.

I saw it on talksport website linked from news now as wanted to see if anyone but The Sun was running.

Didn’t see if Jim White had any input or not.

Just got a feeling Everton will get it right this season. Was quite brave to sack Sam. They know what they want to achieve and what kind of manager they want. They are almost us 10 years ago but with more money. They are basically looking for their Poch.
