I find it funny that at the beginning of the transfer window, most on here were disappointed with Grealish after the “names” that were given..

Now most people are jizzing at the fact we might be signing him ??

I think he’ll do alright for us but I won’t be disappointed either if we don’t sign him

From the (admittedly little) that I have seen from him I'm not overly excited by the prospect. Not being very "brave" imo. If Poch wants him, then great.

It could definitely be seen as brave to base our midfield hopes on his shoulders!

Obviously, we're used to Dembele + 1, and over the last couple of seasons he's been unstoppable at times. But finding a like for like replacement isn't going to be easy.

The idea with Grealish may be an evolution of our playing style, to have him as the link man alongside Wanyama and/or Dier and for him to take the ball forward. He's not the monster that Dembele is, but he can dribble at pace and pass cleanly and maybe that'll be enough to get it to the front 3 or 4.

We don't know for certain that Dembele's leaving, so maybe Grealish and Winks will have this season to learn from him and further develop.

I remember people were dead against us knocking down the Lane and building a new stadium. But if you persist with a bombardment of campaigning and stick to your guns then any opposition will eventually crumble and people will start to come round to your way of thinking. It’s why Emilia Clarke’s restraining order against me is just a piece of worthless paper.

Iirc, most weren't particularly excited when were signed Trippier or Ben Davies. But where would we have been last season without them?

Well thats highly hypothetical, what if we had two ever better wing backs maybe we had been even stronger.

I'm probably reading way too much into it but "stuff" implies more than something singular...
