That’s just the mail story regurgitated. Still find this hard to believe. Surely they’d have been some mention of this in ST sales.

The Premier League has given Tottenham the right to play their first three games away from home if required, as they have done to West Ham and Liverpool in recent seasons, but given that the club have given up on their new stadium being ready in time for the start of the next campaign they may opt to play at least one of these opening three fixtures at Wembley.

This is the important bit, forget the headline. We may choose to play 1 of the three games at wembley rather than all 3 away. Or we may not. Guess we are waiting to see who we get.

Much rather we start with three away games. I didn't just buy a season ticket to go back to Wembley, even if it is just for one game.

It is what it is for me. I've waited long enough and an additional game won't hurt too much. Besides it will be sold out with Bale running round in a Spurs shirt!

Season ticket T&Cs, can't see them issuing refunds or anything. Can see them just doing a like for like swap

1.6 The dates of all Matches being played are subject to revision and change due to television coverage and other circumstances and in this regard, supporters are advised to refer to the Club’s Communication Channels. No guarantees can be given by the Club that the Match will take place at a particular time, location or on a particular date. The Club reserves the right to reschedule any Match without notice. The Club will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs.

Leak to The Times and give the fans 24 hours of digestion/venting before announcing. It's a classic of the genre.

Haha love coming back into this thread and seeing cryptic guessed to my info.

To clarify it's not player related info. Also what i was expecting to occur today obviously hasn't so far, and please don't get too excited as it may not be as exciting as it could potentially be.

As to why the thing hasn't occurred yet, unfotunately i'm not privvy to that info, but there could be a number of reasons for it, but if not today i would expect it tomorrow before the WC kicks off.

3 is the max, apparently. We’d need 4 away as the first game will apparently be after the int’l break in September.

My issue is the way it looks to the fans from the club and precedent being set from the league. Fans could look at it as another betrayal from the club when they’ve already increased season tix dramatically. As for the precedent, letting a club have 2 home stadiums in one competition even if its just one game could open up a whole load of shenanigans. I dont like it. Hope the league just grants us 4 away games in a row.

Isn't it more likely that some Premium Seat holders have contacted the Club as to when they will receive their tickets and welcome pack, and been told there will be an e-mail sent tomorrow, rather than some (not all) "apparently" being given "advance warning"? Perhaps "advance notice" would be a little less hyperbolic.

Not really, this is quite blatantly a legitimate reason to use two stadiums.

Most clubs are going to want to develop their grounds over the next couple of decades, if they want to be afforded the same support they need to be somewhat helpful toward those being the first

Just received this from the Government regarding safe standing..
It will be debated on the 25th June 2018.

Petitions
UK Government and Parliament
Closed petition Allow Premier League and Championship football clubs to introduce safe standing

Safe Standing offers a much safer alternative to fans who wish to stand, rather than sit at football matches. After the highly successful introduction to rail seating at Celtic Park, as well as numerous Bundesliga clubs, many football fans feel that laws preventing standing areas should be relaxed.

I don't think anything in my post was hyperbolic. I was just paraphrasing what someone else had said on another forum

Is there really that much difference between the words warning & notice, especially in the context I used it?

Was just going through the live cameras and I have never seen so many people on site as today. Been watching these shitty cameras basically daily for 3-4 months now but today there are people in every corner. 2-3 roof cassettes going up every 30 minutes or so, it feels like. High tempo now.

I hope it’s a high tempo. They are running out of time. We need the stadium to be ready so we can blame our poor start on it. ?
