No idea what I'd do. I would be heart broken aswell but I can't see how it would be much different from now apart from results etc.

Well we aren’t bankrolled by a regime that gives people 80 lashes for kissing in public. I couldn’t cheer Neymar scoring for Spurs knowing who’d bought him.

Like you say, maybe that’s why they have so many empty seats.

I'm talking about match day experience etc. Must admit, I wouldn't want to give the club any of my money.

I can’t give them any respect or well dones for winning the league. I’m really bitter about it actually. It doesn’t really count. They’ve just spent the most money to win it just like Chelsea used to. It’s meaningless.

Congratulations to Manchester City!

According to human rights organizations, the government of the United Arab Emirates violates a number of fundamental human rights. The UAE does not have democratically elected institutions and citizens do not have the right to change their government or to form political parties. There are reports of forced disappearances in the UAE, many foreign nationals and Emirati citizens have been abducted by the UAE government and illegally detained and tortured in undisclosed locations.[1][2] In numerous instances, the UAE government has tortured people in custody (especially expats and political dissidents).[3][4][5][6][7] and has denied their citizens the right to a speedy trial and access to counsel during official investigations.[1][2]

Flogging and stoning are legal forms of judicial punishment in the UAE due to Sharia courts.[8] The government restricts freedom of speech and freedom of the press, and the local media is censored to avoid criticizing the government, government officials or royal families. Freedom of association and freedom of religion are also curtailed.

Despite being elected to the UN Council, the UAE has not signed most international human-rights and labor-rights treaties, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, and the Convention against Torture. Journalists from overseas frequently record and document human rights abuses that occur within the UAE.

New PL "fit and proper" criteria (June 2017):

For the first time, the Premier League's rules will also allow it to block a new owner where they have "engaged in conduct outside the UK that would constitute an offence… if such conduct had taken place in the UK, whether or not such conduct resulted in a conviction".

Sources told Sky News last month that that amendment to the rule book had been partly inspired by a move by Chinese businessman Gao Jisheng to take control of Southampton FC in a deal reported to be worth £200m.

Mr Gao had admitted to bribery offences, but gave evidence for the prosecution in two separate cases, meaning that he escaped charges himself.
https://news.sky.com/story/premier-league-bosses-approve-tougher-club-ownership-rules-10908980

Is Mr. Gao's bribery worse than a country that doesn't have bribery laws to begin with because the bribers are the ruling clan? And wouldn't suppression of human and labour rights be an offence in the UK? What about summary detention and routine torture?

So what the ****ing fuck is going on here? There is no way these people are fit and proper by these, or any other standard. They are dictators, thieves and human rights abusers. What a fucking joke, and what a complete pox on English football and, increasingly, world sport.

#thfc Walker: "They’ve got Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, which is a big trophy for them to go and win. Please God they go and do that, and I’m not just saying that. The lads deserve it, every single one of them."

Fair play to city. Yes they spent the cash... but it doesn't guarantee you win.

Pretty funny how the only 2 teams that beat them in the league, go on to lose their next match which so happen to be the side rock bottom of the league.

Personally.. I hate that crap. do West Ham get to pass them that trophy from last season?

Really not affected by City winning the league, in my mind they should be winning it anyway and there's no shame in us finishing 20 odd points behind them, at the end of the day that point difference represents that gap in between us because they have far better resources and infrastructure than us and it's something we just need to accept.

I'd rahter they won it that any of our other rivals anyway.

Regardless I think it's a good thing for the league and for us anyway because it increases our quality, we now know the kind of level we need to aspire to to get anywhere near them and we can use this to carry on pushing our team and our players.

I didn’t realise there’s a game tonight. Is it just me or does there only ever seem to be a MNF on after we’ve had a bad result. I can’t remember the last time that they discussed one of our wins on there.

Surely Stoke can make this a close game if they fight as much as they did against us.
