Anyone who doesn't think we need at least 8-9 players in the summer following last night is completely deluded. Huge investment required.

Funny in the sense that we were schooled by a phenomenal team and hence people think he need to panic and are in need of multiple upgrades but on the other hand with the rumoured outgoings and lack of depth in a couple of areas 8-9 isn’t far off when you take into account new players, squad depth and replacements.

I really don’t get people’s attitude to dismissing Bale etc on the grounds we already have x amount of attacking players. We may have Eriksen, Alli, Son, Moura and Lamela but 3 of them are very similar and don’t offer the variety that Man City’s attacking players do. Our downfall is when we play too many similar players in the starting line up... they’re easy to defend against when playing better sides. Last night we either needed to stick with tried and tested or go after City, we did neither.

Realistically we’re looking at new number 2 with Vorm reportedly wanting to go back to Holland. Preferably someone whom has the qualities and potential to become a long term number one. Eg Pope at Burnley.

Full backs are a major headache. Trippier is either good or bad and although not necessarily his fault he lacks the attributes to be both good enough at the top level and to be consistent. Aurier has raw potential and will have a full preseason to prove himself. Rose wants out and Davies albeit a better defender than Trippier, only has 1 gear and as per Tripps is incapable of taking on the opposition full back. KWP, I’m all for giving him the chance to shine and potentially be Aurier’s back up if he’s deemed up to the job by Poch and Co.

Central midfield, Dembele will he stay will he go? Winks is forever injured, Onomah wil he won’t he grow up? I know we’ve been told 1 poss 2 incomings but I’d be siding with the latter. Diawara and a playmaker.

Creativity, Eriksen cover is a must and Maddison is an obvious choice.

Forwards, bye bye Llorente and Janssen. Son will potentially be missing early season, leaving Kane as our sole striker. I think if we have real aspirations to challenge for the title then we need a capable 2nd striker/forward.

There’s circa 7 incomings and that doesn’t include our interest in Sessegnon.

Really can't see is bringing in 7/8 players during the summer one due to cost and second that amount would be hard to integrate as evidenced by the last time when we used the bale money.

CM -1 = Diawara. Linked last window and is the creme de la creme.

CM - 2 = De Jong or Maddison. More likely the latter for that HG quotient. Both dynamic in the middle and final third.

LB - 1 = Bernat? Or whatever his name is at Bayern? Second fiddle to Rafinha and is a LWB at heart. But has to be a burner.

We'd probably have to overpay for Diawara but I honestly reckon he'd be worth anything up to £40/50m.

People will look at how many times he's played this season and be like wtf?! but i'm convinced he's what we need. Possesses a rare combination of being technically sound, defensive nous and energy. Only 20 too.

Not just b/c he has just scored, and I know people would want a striker with a higher ceiling for us, but I can really see us going for Jay Rod as the 2nd striker option and I would be ok with that. At least as a Plan B or C, deadline day special. He'd suit the role more than Llorente and he can also play off the wing. Has played well for Poch before, he likes him (recently gave him a character ref) and he's familiar to a lot of our squad. Then add in the fact they're going down so he will be Levy priced..all makes sense. He's also English and we really need to watch our quota numbers now (why we went for a foreign 3rd choice keeper still baffles me).

No. I am passionate about Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and I want to see us win the Champions League and Premier League before World War III.

That's all well and good. I wish for Spurs to succeed also...but my thinking is that we might actually need some stability.

Get rid of Aurier already?...what's Davies done so wrong this season to not even be considered a rotation player with a new LB.

Lloris...slight dip, but certainly a top keeper.

A Dembele replacement AND a new CM all rounder. Highly unlikely we'd be afforded both. Just get an all rounder...job done.

More pace...Son Left, Moura Right, and then the usual AMs to accommodate, namely Eriksen, Alli, Lamela

Tweeks...that's where i believe we're at. 3 additions, two of which to replace Alderweireld and Rose if they leave. A quality CM.

After that...reactive signings to replace any others looking for the off.

Wholesale changes are not required post loss to City. They're a good side and have been constructed with vast amounts of wedge.

Yanited are currently losing to Brom. We won't win every game...no team does, but keeping a good team together goes along way to building harmony and success.

I haven’t been this jazzed over a player since Tiago maybe. He has every tool and is beyond his years. If you watch the Napoli /Real game you will see how crazy, sexy, cool he is (TLC shoutout). Don’t just watch the highlights, watch the whole game. The skills he displays in that game are present every time he is on the pitch.

I would be delighted if we buy J Rodriguez Sessegnon or Luke Shaw Malcom and Gomez from Barcelona.

And if we can get a left sided centre back as understudy for Vertonghen.

Reports in Spanish media we were scouting Salzburg’s midfielder Amadou haidara on Thursday, I’ve seen a couple of links to him recently anyone seen much of him?

Alderweireld Rose Trippier Llorente can move on.
In the case of Alderweireld and Rose I'd love for them to stay but it doesn't look likely.

Crazy as it sounds, even at £40/50m, Diawara is a good deal. Type of player that would make our current CM's play even better. If Poch was to coach him, Diawara would easily triple his worth.

Just hoping we’ve got our eye on Diawara. So impressed with him.

Then we need a CB in a similar style to Toby

yeah, i mentioned him a month or so ago, good to see spurs taking a look at one of my recommendations.

lots of energy, dynamic, breaks the lines with and without the ball and puts in a lot out of possession. the natural comparison is naby keita but of course he's still young so not quite there yet but he has a lot to work with.
