Have we never even scored a goal against Real Madrid in a competitive match? If that's true then just us notching tonight will be progress..... unless it's 6-1 of course!

So excited about this, and actually have a funny feeling we might nick something. In reality i'd be happy if we manage to give them a game, stay committed and come away from the game with people saying that Spurs gave it a real good go. What i don't want is an Inter away or Madrid away situation where we're down to 10 men after 10 minutes and 3-0 down shortly after!

COYS

I've a very strong hunch we won't finish with 11 on the pitch. They are terrible cheats.

The fact Davies and Wanyama are out is real killer. Balance is going to be compromised, either in midfield, as Dier will have to move into the back three leaving us no natural DM. Or we'll be forced to play a righfooter at left wing back, as Vertonghen will be needed for the back 3. Neither option is not ideal as the balance we usually have is what provides us with defensive strength. I'm sure Poch will devise some plan but I can imagine there will be a lot of 'what ifs' at the final whistle knowing we could have performed better with a more balanced team.

Hoping against hope that Real underestimate us and focus their defensive energies on Harry Kane for the match, meaning he can draw the defenders away from the ball, allowing Sissoko to blaze a tap in miles over the bar in the last minute at 0-0

I'd actually take that!

I think we'll setup to play a defensive counter attacking game, like we did against Dortmund. I'm not really a fan of playing that way but if it gets us a result tonight then I'm all for it.

We will not disgrace ourselves. I don't think we will get tanked. Verts, Toby and Sanchez will be on top of their game.

If Eriksen doesn't get overwhelmed by the occasion we will give them a bloody battle! COYS

Just remembered Lennon bottling it in the hours before the game and crying off sick. Can't imagine any of our players pulling something like that now.

I actually think we have a good chance of winning the game, it depends what kind of mood Ronaldo turns up in, if he is on his game (which I think he will be) then we will have to seriously dig in.

That being said, if Kane and Eriksen are on their game then Madrid will have their own problems to deal with.

I've been travelling in Sri Lanka for three weeks and by complete chance this is the first night I've ended up in a hotel with a telly in my room, and it's on one of the channels here - result!

Not sure why do many of us (myself included) are so confident. I reckon it'll be a belting 2-2 draw (but for some reason I still feel it might be 2-1 to us...).

Lots of rumours around Davies being back, and Ramos being out.

Sounds like bullshit to me and has probably already been proved incorrect but I'm not scrolling back 4 pages for anyone.

We're obvious underdogs but there is no real hug gulf in class.

On our day, and with a bit of luck, we can definitely win this game. Lesser teams have done it before.

I'm confident. All that really matters is Poch getting his selection right which as we all know can sometimes be hit or miss in the big games.

I'm looking forward to a decent game, and wouldn't be too surprised if we got a draw.

I'm also hoping for a few yellows as I've got a cheeky bet on Varane, Dier and Sanchez all picking up cards tonight at 80-1.

My favourite 'to score from outside the area' bets are on, fivers on each

Eriksen 14/1
Kane 12/1

Spurs at Madrid, these are the games it's all about. COYS!
