I might be wrong but did we have a transfer window like this before and didn't buy anyone ? I'm sure I can recall Levy tried but failed.

Not sure. We have had windows where we were told we had many things on the go only for not much to transpire. However the summer 2013 window ended up being a very good last week, signing Eriksen and Lamela.

as has been said many times, marca is madrid's mouthpiece so always look to them for the current thinking. even though sport witness are usually full of shite this makes sense and appears to just be ajax trying to gee up levy into paying any current difference.
yeah good luck with that

The chairman what....? Had overseen the building of the best training facility around. Is overseeing the building of one f the best stadiums In Europe. Has supported the manager and worked with the manager in balancing the books and signing players that had kept us competitive In this league for the last few years whilst maintains a stable financial structure. I don't know about you but I remember the scholar days, the sugar days where if we ever qualified for Europe in any competition it was a major achievement. Anything less than champions league and we are disappointed. I think these are all valid reasons for supporting the chairman. See what a happened to Leeds, Pompey for a start! Easily done, Leeds were competitive for years but always fell short, their chairman decided to take a gamble and it didn't pay off! I would rather not take a gamble! If the money does all go tits up several clubs will be in dier shit! Also
I would rather see all the players paid similar amounts like we do as opposed to 1 or 2 on mega money and the rest on peanuts. This creates a fairer environment. But all the wannabe chairmen/women/managers think buying a player is like buying a loaf of bread, pop to shop pay you £1 job done. All
Selling clubs will start overpriced prices (bad business if they didn't). Then the player has to want to come to the club, the players family has to want to move, the wages have to be agreed, image rights, individual sponsorship and endorsements. Then club fee has to be agreed, instalment plan and bonuses etc! I am proud of spurs, how it is run, how we are up at the top against the odds and the business model we have. I like that poch invests in youth and players are spurs and from other clubs want to play for him!

You have my vote to be next chairman of the BSoDL.

Dealing with a Dutchman is never simple, they like to make deals but they will never roll over so you can be sure of doing the deal but don't expect it to go exactly the way you want it to go, it will always be friendly and respectful, even good fun, but it will take blood sweat and tears. That was my experience anyway.
