I agree, its not this guy they are talking about.

I like the out of the blue link for him though. Those are the ones that sometimes pan out to be true.

His name got thrown around yet he is still there. No team outside of Italy really made a play for him. I was hoping they blew their wad on him though as I believe he is way overrated. Belotti and Simeone's games have much in common.

I hardly see how who they have bought before would make us wary enough of them in the transfer market. That honour is reserved for the mega/money clubs.

If you assumed I was trying to judge his ability on the clubs in for him then you missed my point entirely.

Nah, it's an amount that doesn't make a difference and is part of every transfer that involves moving between countries.
I can't remember the exact percentage, but to give you an example, Mammana moved recently to Zenit for 16m and River received about 500k.
The percentage is depending the time spent in the club and the age, so it's not a fixed number

Not really when we have Son and Janssen.

There also is absolutely no guarantee that Simeone will perform any better at backup than Janssen did last season

Son is not a not an out and out striker and Janssen, well do I really have to go there?

Does it really matter? He is more than capable of doing a job there as he proved last season.

Besides Janssen has a year with us which hopefully will mean he is more effective this season. Doesn't seem logical to replace him with someone who will need to time to adjust - and there is no way we will be able to keep both Simeone and Janssen happy on our bench

What makes u think Simeone is any upgrade on Janssen? Especially now that Janssen have a year under his belt with us. It's very unlikely that Simeone would come in and start bang in the goals as a sub :/

I know next to nothing about Simeone, i will admit that, but the grass isn't always greener.

Son did well (mainly against weaker opposition in the cups) but I wouldn't want him being the main no 9 for too long.
I never said anything about selling Janssen,would like to give him another season with another back up striker to compete with. I know nothing about this kid but we need more quality upfront imo because I don't think either son or Janssen are good enough from what I've seen in that role

I don't know/think anything about simeone. All I do know is that we need better options from the bench or when Kane is not available than last season
