I see it as the complete opposite in regards to Boro and Watford. I think Chelsea will handily beat Boro, but Watford could be a very tricky fixture for them.

Boro look done and dusted as they've continued to be poor offensively, but now they don't even have the defensive solidity anymore. Whereas Watford nearly beat Chelsea in the revers fixture if not for two very late and lucky Chelsea goals. Mazzari is very knowledgeable of Conte and the 3-4-3 system, especially given that he likes to claim he invented it.
Yep and Mazzari will want to beat his fellow Italian I'd imagine. I wonder if the two have history? Saying that Guidolin did us no favours last year.

The two do indeed have history. With Mazzari supposedly claiming Conte stole his tactics back in Italy.

What does he mean? Technically speaking every tactic is a variation of something from the past. Guardiola didn't invent tiki-taka and neither did Cruyff twenty years before him.

If it's about the formation [three at the back], I think Poch says it best that people are too obsessed with formations when the real substance is the automation within it - and that comes down to coaching and practice.

Arsenals highest possible total is 78 points. We're on 71 already with a vastly superior goal difference to them. We need seven points from our last six games to finish above them. That's if they win every game which means they have to beat Leicester, United, Everton and us. They haven't won three league games in a row since October. They haven't beaten any of the top seven teams since September. They drew four of their last seven games last season, they dropped nine points in their last seven the season before and dropped five points in their last seven the season before. There's nothing in recent history to suggest that Arsenal can overtake us before the end of the season.
Yes compelling statistics alright. How many points did we get in our last 6 games last year?

8. Which would be more than enough this season.

In fact if we get half that total they have to win every game.

Edit - I've just been checking our final six matches for the last ten seasons and the lowest points total we've got in that time is seven points back in the 07/08 season after we'd won the league cup.

Yes 8 would be enough to finish above Arse! But not city Liverpool and maybe Man U. Everyone keeps saying I am pessimistic or unrealistic. But as you have just shown we only got 8 points last year so to be honest I don't think it is unrealistic to be a little worried about our ability to definitely finish fourth? People can debate it if they wish but I feel we have a tough run in and the games against Arse and united are pivotal.
Look I have been a Spurs supporter since 1970. Yes I want us to beat chelski to the title but I am afraid I tend to be looking at who's chasing us rather than that. Too many years mate too many years.
And for that reason alone that is why I started the conversation about finishing 4th and above Arse would be enough for me this year!! Do I want 2nd. Do I think we can hold onto 3rd come end of the season. I'm am going to say maybe, sorry.

I this my friends is why I am nervous! I don't know why everyone keeps giving me a hard time. It is not pessimism, it is worry!!

Fair enough, I just read it as giving up a title challenge to ensure we finish above Arsenal.

I just can't see United making up 11 points on us when they've got to play City, Arsenal and us and have already said that they will prioritise the UEFA League. And their injures are really mounting up now (mostly since you first posted about finishing 4th to be fair).
