ya, anyway you slice it its a weird story. Im not an orthopedist so I cant tell you what the indications are for hip surgery with his injury but it seems unusual that they are just now figuring it out. it seems like 99% of the injuries I recall they either get surgery up front or not at all.

Mrs.JimmyG2 has had hip surgery
and both knees replaced
though one was admittedly keyhole partial replacement.
But the point I'm trying to make is that it hasn't affected
her professional soccer career in any way.
Putting her in touch with Erik as we speak.

I still think this is all somehow drug related. Is it really outside of the realms of possibility for the club to put out injury related news to protect a player? Just all seems really weird to me.

Rubbish. They told us after he had gone to Roma that he had a hip problem. Then stayed silent for over a month. If you think this whole situation is in one bit normal for a professional footballer your off your head

To be fair they have updated us every single week.

Erik Lamela - Out - Hip Injury.

Eh? Not sure if that was meant to be funny. Please clarify

I'm getting bored of the general consensus that Lamela isn't really injured and the club is covering something up. There have been regular updates, which have repeatedly stated he is still out with a hip injury, so the club has been as transparent as they should be expected to be.

In case you have missed the news today, Lamela is undergoing surgery this Saturday. This should put all the conspiracy theories to bed, yet my Facebook news feed is still filling up with new rumours about him leaving in the summer.

So what's the procedure he's having? What are they going to fix? Looking for?

It's weird that we could have one of our best seasons ever in the PL and we could be looking at a TON of sales in the summer. Just goes to show how good our Top 13-14 players are here.

I sometimes wonder whether any of the players read this forum.

Fucking hell.

That would come under the heading medical in confidence or none of our business
Same as saying Kane has hurt his ligaments in his ankle and it's not as bad as previous injury. Why tell us the medical there?

Maybe because they don't know precisely what's wrong
There have been numerous reports that scans showed no injury, yet he complained about his hip
