Don't want to count our chickens but got a feeling of horror when i realised the Cup Final is on 27th May.

I booked to take my wife to Japan that week on a once in a something holiday and now discover the final is on while i am there!

I haven't missed Spurs on a final (or semi final or many other games) since i went to my first with my Dad in 1971 when Chiv got 2 v Villa.

I always check Spurs fixtures before booking anything but didn't this time- when has the Cup Final ever been that late and why!?

Probably a bit later this season as no euro/wc in the summer.
Let's just hope you've not jinxed us eh, could've waited til after the semi before worrying about this......!

That's pretty late indeed.

Bummer for you.

I can only think they having a relaxed season this year as no Euros or World Cups.

It's my 40th birthday party that night. If we make the final and win, great night. If we make the final and lose... ffs...

My first final(s) was the 1972 UEFAs v Wolves.
Yes, that was great. The UEFA Cup gave a unique opportunity (twice!) for us to see us win a trophy at WHL. I remember the sea of silk scarves on the pitch at the end, given we were back in the day when silk Spurs scarves were tied around wrists being the football fashion.

i think that was the season that the players wives were told if they reached the final then the club would pay to take kids and families to the away leg all expenses paid
We got Wolves

Well I'll be completely free on that date, so I'll probably do something fun rather than watch Chelsea v Arsenal in the cup final...

FFS! That's the weekend of my first wedding anniversary. That's a lot of brownie points to try and build up between now and then! I always thought May bank holiday was saved for the playoffs?

Don't worry about that until the semi final. The last 6 semis haven't gone well for us have they?
