This is really quite strange isn't it. Why would you have this on the official website? It's almost as if the editor of the web page is on his last day of the job so decided to put this up as a laugh!

I had to check the url to make sure it was the official club website. They really are the Frank Spencer of the footballing world :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah mate it's gone down well on KUMB

Was just about to start a thread on this. Absolutely classless move from the club. To have this article in the Daily Mail or some other rag is one thing, but to post this on the official site?!?! Followed by the gall to hide behind this statement - "*The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not necessarily those of West Ham United" - utterly shameful. The board don't have what it takes to call a spade a spade (or what they perceive to be) and use this to throw their darts from behind. I understand that they have been attempting to do is challenging but they are adults and need to own up, one way or another. They are trying to appease both sides and as a result, are losing both. This one really has wound me up

They treat their fans as if they are stupid morons who can't see through their PR stunts and outright propaganda. Obviously they do have a section of their fans who are like that but as with any club, most are just normal people who happened to make the mistake of picking West Ham as their team.

edit- I almost have sympathy for them but I'm pretty sure that when you're genuinely sympathetic about something, you don't also find it fucking hilarious.

I genuinely feel sorry for the fans. No real football fan can not feel sympathy for their plight.

The only fans I despise are the Chelsea morons.

I don't have a problem with their fans and barely really acknowledged their existence until the Olympic stadium fiasco. They were just another london club to me like palace or charlton. But the behaviour of the dildo bros and Brady really got up my nose and pissed me off. I've nothing but hoping for failure for their club now just as it will harm those three.

i had to check that link as I didn't believe the club would post that kind of story. Incredible ineptitude.

Maybe they want Slaven Bilic, an honest and decent man, to resign without having to pay him off.

Putting out that final sentence in the article, the one that mentions "buying poorly in the summer" on the club's official site, is outrageous. It's basically putting all the ills of the club on one man's shoulders.

This is it to a T for me too! As soon as the man-lady started gobbing off I took an instant dislike to them and its grown day by day!

I've had a healthy dislike of them ever since David Cross banged 4 in for them at the Lane.

My earliest memory of them was watching a motd recording my granddad had from a season before I was even old enough to watch football

Clive Allen got a hattrick and nico classen scored - I think we won 5-0

Since then I've never thought they were even on our level and they've always been meaningless to me

I couldn't quite believe that WHU's official website actually posted that so went to take a look....
Found this beauty too! Lays in to the team and then urges the fans to get behind them. Oh, and tickets are still available.

We simply have to concede that last night’s performance was just not good enough.

Manchester City may be an excellent attacking side, but we allowed them to carve us open time and time again, which was very disappointing.

Although it's hard to take any positives out of the game, for 25 minutes, until we conceded what many experts thought was a marginal penalty, we were holding our own.

Furthermore, at 1-0 down we had what seemed a simple tap-in to equalise, but the performance after that, and the result, was simply not good enough.

However, it was excellent to see so many young faces there and, thanks to the kids for a quid initiative, a 57,000 capacity crowd at London Stadium.

It makes me extremely proud to know that we have a fanbase who will fill our stadium for a match on a Friday night, live on BBC One, just two weeks after Christmas. It is something that not many other clubs in the country can boast.

Unfortunately, the team could not provide a performance befitting of such a good turnout.

We haven't lost any key or influential players since last season, which was one to remember, so we are all currently struggling to understand why the team is under-performing at this moment in time.

We know we have to improve quickly, and upcoming fixtures against Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough now become cup finals. As we showed over Christmas, though, a string of good results can move you up the Premier League table very quickly, and I am confident we will be heading in that direction over the coming weeks.

I know it can be difficult at times like this, but I urge every supporter to get behind the team and manager – just as you have done all season. We have seen performances improve recently, even in defeat at Leicester City and against Manchester United, so I truly believe we can continue to progress if we all push in the same direction.

It's another London derby next weekend against Crystal Palace, which brings back memories of our 1-0 win in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park, where we began to turn our season around earlier in the campaign.

We will also welcome back our former manager Sam Allardyce, in what will be an exciting encounter for many reasons.

There are still tickets available for the clash on our Ticket Exchange facility, so click here to purchase yours for what will hopefully be an opportunity to do the double over the Eagles.

If they don't win one of their next two games then bilic is getting sacked after reading that. Sullivan blaming everyone but himself.

Holding their own for 25 minutes :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

57,000 capacity? If only they took the attendance figures at around 60 minutes!
