Interesting. I'm sure @THFCSPURS19 posted something the other day about Onomah signing a 4 year deal back when he was 18.
I'm only basing off what I have read online, various articles about contracts in football etc. I have no direct knowledge myself, so maybe these articles have been superseded.

Certainly would make sense though. Everyone else seems to be signing until 2021, I don't see why CCV (who Poch rates extremely highly) wouldn't get tied down to the same length.

Somewhat related - but Grant Wahl, an American sports writer for Sports Illustrated, said this week that CCV is committed to the US National Team.

There's good news for U.S. fans on that front: Carter-Vickers has played for the U.S. at every level from Under-17 to Under-23, and a source close to the situation says he’s “all USA” for his senior level choice. The bad news: Carter-Vickers is unlikely to get officially cap-tied to the U.S. in the early parts of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying Hexagonal with so much riding on the results.

Great news, the more players who avoid the England team circus the better.

Jurgen missing a trick here - he should be in the squad for the next official game and brought on as a sub towards the end of the game. TBH he could do a job at the back now.

If you scroll down here, Grant Wahl(a soccer insider in the US with connects in Europe and the states) says CCV is all USA at the senior level right now...Says the earliest we'd cap tie him is later in the hex, but I wouldnt be surprised if Klinsmann calls him up in November and subs him in late in one of the matches to cap tie him, tbh. I'm almost positive he'll be called up in October for the friendly matches since Brooks is hurt, and Klinsmann will likely go Europe heavy because MLS clubs are fighting for playoff places.
MLS has an international break in October & November.

But right now, its playoff crunch time and it'll be the playoffs in November. I doubt Klinsmann will call up those who are in the fight for the playoffs in October. Also, Seattle, Houston and Colorado play during the break. Columbus, Chicago, and San Jose have games 2 days after US/New Zealand. In November, I dont think Klinsmann will call up those in the playoffs.

Klinsmann should call up CCV for the October friendlies. I know its not cap-tying, but it would be a good way to introduce him to the senior side, and let the staff evaluate him.

He's done it the last few seasons.

Have to reluctantly agree with this in a way. It is a genuine circus. What parts of the media did to Sterling over the summer was pathetic and disgusting

The USA have some impressive prospects coming through now - they should have a very good team over the next 10 years and CCV will have a big part to play in that.

As much as I would love to see CCV play for England, I mentioned ages ago, imagine what it's do for our US fan base, if we produced one of their best players. The nation would all be with us.
What we intended with Yedlin but from us

Pulisic has already stolen that mantle.

A lot of people looking forward to CCV, but hard to top an attacking player in terms of fan support.

Why play for the US? Because you're playing for a country where you'll very likely end up starting in a WC early on whereas with England, its not as nailed on because he doesnt play for Liverpool, United or Chelsea. Also because there will be familiarity with a few of the players from the youth teams. Not to mention, he's apparently close with his father who is American and lives in America and the US has given him a ton of international football while England hasnt even given him a look.

Alao, just because we're not full of world class players doesnt mean we're not a good team. I'd fancy us to beat England in a competitive match tbh. The US plays for the team and fights for the team. If England showed even half as much fight as the US, they'd be much better on the international stage.
Really? 5 of the England XI at the Euros were from Spurs. England have a notable weak spot at CB - a good half-season at Spurs and he'd be well in contention for an England spot. As a complete neutral (Northern Irish), I think he'd be very silly to tie himself to the US.

He came into my shop in Enfield today needing a replacement lead for his Playstation. I happened to ask him whether he was going to keep playing with the US and said he didn't know and shrugged his shoulders, he didn't seem to keen on it to be honest. Seemed a nice guy and was very polite (y)

This. I dont really care about england so my spurs-selfish brain will want him to play for US in order to expand that fanbase for us.
