Wanyama spends half his time suspended with idiotic tackles and the other half next season will be at the African nations!
1. No, Wanyama is not suspended for half the time.
2. Kenya did not qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.

I wonder would we still be complaining about wanyamas disciplinary record if Dier had of picked up those 2 red cards from arsenal and Chelsea like he should have done.

Dms will pick up bookings and the odd red card, it's part of their job for the team

Anything more than 10m, tell Soton to put it where sun dont shine, and they can keep unmotivated, uninterested player for a year and lose him for nothing.
Yep. Perhaps they could phone that fat idiot at West Brom and ask him how well that works.

Just heard a few Saints supporters talking transfer rumours for half an hour or so and most of it revolved around how they should replace Wanyama. They are 100% sure he will be off.

Our own Eric Dier picked up booking after booking, and how he didn't get sent off against both Arsenal and Chelsea I'll never quite fathom. It's not like he's that much more disiplined than Wanyama.

Is it because he gave the ref a cheeky wink ?

Most tragic link of the window. Rather play Fazio as DM. This isn't hyperbole or an exaggeration but if you rate Wanyama I will deduct a point away from my ranking system of how much I value your opinion on football. It's out of 100, @millsey you are currently on -8,000,000

My cousins are Southampton season ticket holders and have been involved with the Saints Academy. They really rate Wanyama and hsve said Spurs have been tapping him up for months. Could just be friendly banter with me but as you can imagine in the absence of Pompey they absolutely loath us. For this alone I hope it happens.

For the style and system we play I just feel that a central midfielders do need to be beasts. Wanyama is that, and a good one at that. I'd probably not want him with Dier as a regular occurrence, but him with Dembele I could easily see. He would not be my ideal but he's a good age, very attainable and someone who already knows Pochettino's style, attitude and demands.

Might be useful if we have to go to the Nou Camp or Allianz next year though. Play Dembele a bit further forward, and try to soak up pressure.

we could go 442 away in the CL.. Dier-Dembele-Wanyama-Alli as the midfield would Hulk Smash most teams

It's the Tottenham way to play brilliant and beautiful attacking football, but sometimes the opponent does get the ball over the halfway line and at that time, it is time to make their lives hell especially late game with Dier and Wanyama.

Not the most beautiful transfer, but one I would be okay with.
