What is funny is that a lot of posters on here were using Newcastle last summer as an example of how to do things. Show some ambition, spend lots of money, buy this 'obvious' quality etc etc......

Same with Liverpool spouting how them buying players early was going to get them top 4.

What im wondering is what Newcastle side will turn up against us at the weekend? One thats determined to go down fighting, and are really up for the game, (like the one that beat us earlier in the season), or one thats lost all interest and rolls over easy, handing us second spot in the process?(y)

I think them being relegated has made the game harder for us, they have nothing to fear now, no nerves and will be wanting to go out on a high, they will turn up no doubt about it.

Maybe but if the game is a tie at the end they might not bust a gut to get the winner. We only need a draw.

Sad... for about a second.

Newcastle were my 2nd favourite prem team, thanks to a legaacy of ginola, ferdinand and asprilla + once upon a time frequent visits to the night-time-takeway-dropping, sick-on-curbstone-leaving,, blow-up-doll-in-bin-placing capital of England.

Would have much preferred the mackams down to the level of the smoggies, so it's a shame... but oh well COYS. Come back soon you geordie bastards. Love your women.
I used to like them too until 7-1...

Bastards, I blame their downfall on Freddy Shepherd. They should have been able to be a top 6 club at the least but just spunked their money on injury prone shite players.

Don't think so. If they'd been down for weeks that might have been the case, but having just been relegated they're all going to be depressed as fuck. They might give it a go for 20 minutes but I don't see them running themselves into the ground to keep up with our lot.

As long an an interested Tottenham show up it shouldn't matter.

Really? I don't remember that at all. That's ridiculous.

If relegation rids them of Mike Ashley it will be a blessing in disguise.

Feel sorry for Andros though, he at least can hold his head up high.

I won't tempt fate by laughing at them as they could still have a sting left in their tail on Sunday that won't do them much good but it could hurt us.
How many of us would take a point if it was offered right here and now. Under these circumstances I would without a second thought.

Of course. Who wouldn't? 1 or 3 points results the same for us

He could have an amazing season in the championship.

He could be this generations Ricky Otto.
