Tell me....how do you feel about that?Amateur psychologists out in full force in this thread
It's good that they managed to keep it out of the press, but it's clear this is a bullet dodged in my opinion.I heard we pulled the plug on a signing this January because it came to light that the player in question once got a parking ticket
About 14 appearances of which came off the bench...6 in 25 this season so far...

Other aspects of his game and character are there to be shot down but I dare say his goals per minutes ratio this season isn't too bad for someone playing in such a rotten team under the circumstances that he has been. Not a vintage year by any means but still, his goal scoring is not not such a problem.
He's got the same number of goals as Chadli, and similar game time starts & subs etc...
Seems a compliment to me that you are comparing his goal scoring rate to Chadli's!
As I said, it's relative. Chadli has the luxury of playing for the best team in England, while Berahino plays for the most turgid hoof-ball club going. There isn't a worse team in England to play for than West Brom for a player of his type. The only team they've outscored this season is Aston Villa. Taking that into account, alongside the obviously disruptive nature of his season and a clear lack of fitness (looks fat to me) then I think Berahino's goal return has actually been relatively good. However, better to use his statistics from last season, which was less disruptive, if wishing to make comparisons.
I don't even want to sign him, primarily because of his apparent lack of dedication to maintaining fitness. It suggests weak character. There are many flaws in him to criticise however scoring goals is not among them imo.
