Not sure what I'm more sick of this transfer window, Levy or Uber.
Given our situation now, I'd say it would be worth the cost to bring in some top players
If one club was going to do it, it was always likely to be the one that in the last several years once had 8 central midfielders and on another occasion 5 RBs. The summer TW of 2009 also seemed to be advance preparation for this day.Let's face it, we don't even know if N'Jie and Son are a) fit or b) suitable for the premier league or c) any good.
A few weeks ago I got spammed to eternity for suggesting we should have signed Lambert. Anyone suggesting Austin was laughed off.
I don't have an issue with the players we have bought in but how have we not bought a back up for Kane. Its mental. No other premier league club would rely on one premier league forward.
Right. I've relaxed a little now.
We have two options. We need a striker, an international level one, who won't cost us anything and is available.
Well, Adebayor fits the bill, may be a bit of a mercenary, but ultimately he's our mercenary already. We're playing him a hell of a lot of money, so make him play. Every cup game. It's that or a Berbatov type short term signing.
Option 2, alter the system, 433, which strengthens our CM since we didn't sign one, Mason, Alli, Bentaleb, plus Carroll has often been described as better in a 3. Then with 3 up top, fluid, less need for an out and out 9. Most of our WF can play up top, but not as line leaders. In a 3 there'd be less need for a focal point.
The whole inability to spend worries me. Other clubs do it based on the recouping cash through TV money. If we're not spending any upfront, where does it all go?!!
Anyhow. Rants and tantrums out the way. Back to being a fan and supporting those we do have, not fretting about those we missed out on.

From the BBC
Spurs’ failure to sign another striker or an experienced midfielder signals a deplorable lack of ambition that could stifle the development of a young squad full of potential and leaves us vulnerable to competitors. The right men in these two positions could make a significant difference but chairman Daniel Levy, the so-called shrewd negotiator, catastrophically misjudged a market flush with TV cash. Teams no longer have to cave in because they just don’t need the money. Another window, yet another missed opportunity. Today’s desperate Berahino or bust shambles obscures concerns that Spurs’ overhaul of scouting and recruitment failed to find alternatives. The club site’s pathetic attempt to solve the problem by reclassifying Heung-Min Son as a striker did not play well with frustrated and furious fans. Now let’s get behind the team. COYS

What if berahino was to buy out his contract? He would thus be available on. Free no?
Once they fully mobilise, this will all pretty soon be turned around to an act of geniuswell that lack of anything took me by surprise.
Levy is on a 50/50 with this BsoDL (?) right now... Though he won't give a tuppence. Literally.
Yes I agree but he isn't giving money out for transfers thats clear. We are obviously having to be self sufficient in operating costs.Seriously.. our owner is a billionar who sits on a yacht in a tax haven.. he doesn't love this club like we do & he sure as hell doesn't want what's best for the fans or the club.. he has built a training complex & future stadium with borrowed money & once stadium is done he will sell for a massive profit.. Enic = investment firm
Then they're making the same mistakes we always have by looking to players who aren't within our grasp, and in doing so missing out on moderately priced players who end up being worth treble their price tags.
Identifying a player who went for nigh-on 40m quid as being one who might be quite good is neither impressive nor helpful.
