i just love this line....

Tottenham say that Atlético promised they have the authority to sell Alderweireld to whomever they choose and the Premier League club have treated the pledge in good faith, moving quickly to close their side of the deal. They consider the argument between Atlético and Southampton to be nothing to do with them.

I don't think it's the players that are the issue. It was how the entire team defended as a unit and the fact Mason \ Bentelab is a powderpuff combo.

Yes I'd like to see an experienced player partner Bentaleb and Mason put into the EL/Cups to "develop further", cos he sure needs to.

I don't understand what he is saying. Is he saying it is done but we are waiting to announce it for "political" reasons? Or is he saying that the deal isn't done because of the contract mess?
