I dont get what the jealousy is with their signings, Firmino totally untried in England and is a huge gamble we should know this look at Paulinho. Ings a good player yes but better than Kane? No. Milner, good utility player would of welcomed him but no on the wages he is on, Cylne again good player and probably the only one I would have really wanted but we are stacked at right back.

well obviously lol, but money shouldn't be a factor! but i guess for levy it is, but there's no doubting clyne is the better player.

Money is always a factor. If you don't have it you can't spend it. If you do have it you spend it on the right things. £12.5m for a rightback is not our priority. The £9m (if we have it) can be better used elsewhere.

I expect Bacca/Rondon to be signed, will be interesting to see how either does.

Bacca is similar to Soldado in that he needs chances/crosses in the box, whereas Rondon looks a beast but is coming from Russian League.

Yes, hopefully we do have it and spend it 'wisely' = on a first team player.

Lets just pray we manage to sell the 'deadwood' soon. Liverpool still have theirs to sell.

That must be tough for them.....(please lock this stupid thread before i get someone to post a photo of their trophy cabinet!)

That's the spirit mate. Keep it up

The priority for me is not a first team player. It is back up for Kane. Then it would be a center mid. If we get rid of both Ade and Soldado then a lwf who can also cover the striker position. I think that would be it.

It's not the quality of the players that get me, it's the fact that their delusional fans haven't learned from last year, they are like Gremlins. Feed them after midnight and 6 more crawl out. They were calling for Brendons head from xmas onwards, now he's signed these players, he's Shankly reincarnated, again.

Their wage bill must be going through the roof.

The CM surely has to be a first team player lol, but yea i agree.

In regards to this thread, where elsewhere do you think Pool need to strengthen?

We laugh because of opinions like these.

Like their trophy cabinet changes the fact that they've finished below us for six of the last seven years. It's a complete lack of grasp for reality. Their previous success is about as useful to them as it is for Leeds and Blackburn. Only difference is they still believe they're some great world power of a club and the delusion is downright hilarious.

Don't just ask us though, nearly every PL team forum on the Internet has a "Let's Laugh at Liverpool/RAWK" for a similarly good reason.

Hit a nerve did i ? Money wasn't a factor when we spent on Soldado,Lamela,Paulinho etc was it?

Think you need to take a look at this thread

http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/spurs-are-lowest-net-spenders-in-the-epl.119452/

Not hit a nerve at all, just feel it's a bit naive to say money isn't a factor.
Those signings were with the Bale money remember, kind of a big exception but even then, money was a factor just not as much as before.

I'm aware we're one of the lowest net spenders and all that but that still doesn't mean we can spend money for the sake of it and all that. It's a poor business model and one we can't do till we have more money coming in (i.e. constant champions league money, new stadium etc...)

My point is money is always a factor, simple as that.

I think Firmino will do very well for them I have to admit, he has the arrogance it takes to succeed in this league and his final product is much better than Sterling's.

A midfield of

Can - Milner
Henderson
Firmino - Coutinho

is pretty tasty I have to say

I agree and it could end up costing Rodgers his job, he will definitely be expected to finish above us at the very least.
