Watch the goal from the pass from Bill Brown (goalie)
Was nowhere near the best goal I've seen, but for sheer enjoyment factor it was hard to beat Stalteri's goal at Upton Park in the 3-4 win, especially since we had been 2-0 and 3-2 down in the match. Seeing Mark Noble crying tears of pure misery at the final whistle is definitely my favourite ever moment of schadenfreude as a Spurs fan, and you can't put a price on that for enjoyment.
The other candidate for "enjoyment factor" was scored by one of my least favourite Spurs players ever: Roman Pavlyuchenko vs Inter Milan at WHL the night where we gave the reigning European Champions a footballing lesson in the 3-1 win. Pav will go down as the goalscorer (and fair play to him), but the goal was all about Gareth Bale whose performance in that game was the best individual performance I have ever seen from a Spurs player - a performance I don't expect to see bettered for decades to come. He was literally unplayable that night, and watching him set up Pav by punting the ball 30 yards down the line and turning a 10m deficit into a 10m lead on the defender (that part was literally outrageous; even FIFA games don't allow you to be that audacious), followed by getting his head up, looking at his options and sending in an inch-perfect cross for Pavlyuchenko to touch home was sheer magic.
Absolutely, don't think I've ever seen a better atmosphere (albeit I watched the game on TV) at the Lane, it seemed like every single person inside the ground was just belting it out for the entire 90 minutes and beyond. Certainly the single game I'm most proud of as a Spurs fan since I started watching in 1995.That game against Inter Milan really was special and one of the best nights at WHL in modern times.
Glenn Hoddle against Oxford pure class.
