I like him, but he wouldn't want to swap one bench for another. And I don't see him as a starter. Rather have Townsend, one of our own, young and hungry and wanting to prove himself when called upon.

No Adam Johnson.
Good- dont see how he improves our first team. I'd have bale and Lennon ahead of him all day and he'd just stop any townsend development and, dare I say it, Gio chances..
I have the same doubts over Willian but we'll see.
Pace, creativity and goal threat seem to be AVB mantra. Nowt wrong with that

Not that fussed, would have been good to have him but we have Townsend to back-up Bale and it would be good to try and encourage one of our own youth products.

I bought a shitload of books... ahem, graphic novels... via SC Affiliates the other day and I felt EPIC...

I'll donate some more later, gotta go work in a minute. But I'm slacking.

Not overly annoyed at missing him. Probably would have a great first 6 weeks and then become an average squad player. Can do better.

I owe a donation... Will try to sort something out later. In the meantime, I think no Johnson is a shame. I love Lennon, but think Johnson is better, would have improved our team. I'm not blown away by Willian either, but have faith the club won't buy us another Bently!!

Not worried about missing out on Johnson, he wouldn't have put in the defensive shift that AVB will want with his pressing tactics.

Morning all. I prefer Brazilian flair, speed and excitement to Adam Johnson. Willian all the way for me. Also, to most defences he is an unknown quantity, so that will help us going forwards.

dont think Johnson would have come to be a squad player, can do that at city, win more just now and get paid more. We should be looking to bring in players who will be starters and challange the players we have in the place, and i just dont see Johnson doing that.
