Santi Cazorla? The one who plays for Malaga?

He's a winger, he wouldn't be a replacement for Luka at all.

Nope. He is a CM. He used to play on the wings but has gradually moved into the center the past couple seasons.

Agree he's not a winger, but he's more apt to the winger role than to he CM role. He' an attacking mid, with 0 defensive qualities

I'd buy him more to upgrade on Lennon than Modric
He's basically a slightly lower-grade David Silva, which still makes him a damn fine player.

i own my own business but in future instead of dealing with bank ill ask advice from you first if it makes you feel better!!! you can dress it up all you want. if spurs were offering adebayor wages close to what he wants or what his team would find acceptable then this deal would be done and he would have been playing tonight. its all about the money. we have a chairman who is not prepared to spend a penny above what he see's fit and thats where the stand off is. im sure it will be resolved but i really dont get what selling modric has to do with this.. we need a striker and been spurs im sure they would like a good one so pay the fucking money and if they sell modric im sure been spurs they would like a big name but that cost money too.. everyone knows we need strikers and everyone knows we will need modric replacement.

if we were clever we would and should have already got both striker and his replacement in already. persoanlly thought offering inter a wheelbarrow of money for leandro and oscar way back in may that would have been paid off and guarenteed by madrid buying modric was a no brainer but for some reason we act the maggot. Im sure those two lads arent on huge huge wages either . obviously different story if they had no interest which seems likely but offering them too good a deal to turn down and im convinced they woudl have been ours.

we have not signed a striker in two years maybe longer so if its a case of not been able to afford adebayor unless we sell modric or get money into club then i really despair. we are chancing our aim that way. we got lucky last year in that we got adebayor on loan without paying transfer fee but now when push comes to shove lets see what we can do shall we!!!

Think about it though, it's not just a case of saying "right we want this player, so we'll pay for him, and we'll also stump up for his ridiculous wage demands too".

In 2009/10 we had a turnover of £120m but operating expense of £136m. We broke even as we made £15m on player sales.

In 2010/11 we had a turnover of £163m but had operating expenses of £171m and again had profit on player sales of £8.5m. So over 2 years we have sold more than what we've bought. However, when you look at the impacts of Recaro stockpiling players he never used and all of the wasted money on salaries you see why that is.
There is no pile of cash sitting around, as Harry spent it. The reality is that we didn't have Champs League last season but we still had a huge squad and an even bigger wage bill. Our turnover will have come down when we see the 2011/12 books and we will once again have to make profit on player sales to balance the books. This is why Levy is selling about 3 or 4 players to every new one coming in. Him and AVB know they can improve the team without all Recaro's deadwood lying around. Have faith, they know what they're doing and I'm sure we'll see more players soon !!! ILIT

Damn it I was literally round the corner from that place about half an hour ago. If I'd seen that tweet I would have sat down at the table and ordered me some bruschetta.

The prospect of having your pay cut in half must be quite galling though

Yes indeed imagine...........oh fuck i now have to survive on 100 grand a week, however will i survive...........deary me......

If Ade's that cock sure that it's about the money then he can go to whoever he wants. Spurs already have one mercenary looking to move on and we don't really need to add another to our ranks. Fuck him.

Hahaha. What a shitbox restuarant to have a meeting at. At least sit in a Starbucks or something - you get free wi-fi and everything.

Next week, he'll be wooed with a trip to a Little Chef.

Can Spanish people not eat Italian food?
No. It's like matter and anti-matter. If they come into contact, an explosion several magnitudes higher than that of an H-bomb will be witnessed. All of central London would be obliterated instantly.

Anyways, bloody nice sleuthing by whoever took that photo but in reality, we're no wiser. Could be anybody with him.

Look at all the papers on the table, that looks like a meeting to me.

+ looking at Modric (if it is him) at how he is sitting. Its exactly how I look when i'm being interviewed or in an important meeting. :D
