Interesting that Harry said DL called him after the Brighton game saying Mata was, for all intents and purposes, done.

If it can go wrong after DL says it is a done deal, can you imagine how much can go wrong when an ITK says a deal is complete...

Well to be fair, even though I think 'Arry has done a great job for us and I think he should continue for as long as he sees fit..... If 'Arry had his way we would have a squad of 70 footballers and 'Arry would still be angry at the manager for not buying someone else.

So luka could play tomorrow but his head isn't in the right place!!!!

Ade deal snagged and Mata turned us down.......... Happy days, lucky we aren't playing the champions next!!!!!!

Harry just said that Garry Cook told him today at half time that there were a few snags to do with money.

He didn't seem like the snags were deal breakers though.

Reading some of the comments in this thread today I can't help but be reminded of rabid conspiracy theorists. Some people are letting their minds overrun with theories and speculation. Would it not be more sensible for us to wait a couple more working days before declaring this deal dead or that deal dead?

He was also set for Arsenal, but when he found out Chelsea were in, he apparently told his father if they are willing to bid he is going there. Hence Arsene Whinger saying "we wont go for Mata, I won't give a reason" The reason apparently being what he told his dad

sounds like pretty disappointing news for the most part from that interview. mata would have been a great signing for us, gutted that we were so close. Just hoping that the Ade snags are small and can be thrashed out quickly.

Absolutely stinks of a Transfer request within next 7 days IMO.

The comment about levy telling Harry the mata deal was done was also very interesting.

True. He's just not very good at keeping his frustrations to himself. Did seem strange that as soon as he heard that Mata had gone to Chelsea, he said that he thought that would mean Luka deal would be dead. But in the same breath said that he never thought Chelsea were in for him.

I think its more likely that HR/DL have been closely watching the deal, hoping that Chelsea sign Mata so give up on Modric!

Harry seemed to think that Chelsea bought Mata INSTEAD of Modric and seemed genuinely surprised. We still don't really know whether Chelsea have made more than 1 bid for Modric the rest is speculation by the media.
